Excellent news! In that case, links to the correct wire, wick and cotton would be much appreciated so I can add them to the cart as well. While I'm at it and feeling cheeky (brave)...if it's possible to re-coil mini protanks, links to wire and wick for those too would be much appreciated. Thank you! I rarely bother making coils these days, but I am sure Super-Shiny will point you in the right direction

And another question while I'm at it They're all shown with lovely steel drip tips (including the one Super-Shiny posted) but not entirely sure any of them actually come with it. Would I need to order that separate? Sorry guys for all the silly questions. When I start on a new thing, I ask my brains out, but promise to shut up (mostly) once I get the hang of it.Scratch that. Did a bit more research and have figured out a new steel drip tip is in order too. Think I'm going for the Phoenix in the end. Can I do cotton coils with it or is it a silica gig?

Yes, you do get the lovely sexy drip tips with it The one you linked to should be fine, but dont be too surprised if there is brass in there somewhere. Personally I think the brass issue is overstated, as long as the plating is intact they are fine. That is just my opinion though, everyone makes their own judgement in these things This one is CE and SGS marked on the packaging, but you can generally take that with a pinch of salt when getting stuff from China

Cheers for the warning Super-Shiny Initially I was put off by the Phoenix because it seems a tight space to work with and very nearly decided on one of the other two you've just linked. That said, if I want to learn to do the mini protanks as well, I'm already working tight so may as well learn to coil the Phoenix while I'm at it. Might end in tears and I'll end up buying one of the easier ones within a few weeks, but I'm an optimistic (aka stubborn) sort. With that decided, do I need all the wick and wire you mentioned in an earlier post or just a few? Sorry for hijacking this thread, but really do appreciate the help guys. You've been stars!
