Bells Menthol Crystals

I bought a 5g tub of these at my local chmist, crushed them, put them in a 10ml juice bottle and filled it up with 36mg pg.
Will this be ok to use in mixes? what's making me unsure is, although it says Menthol B.P. it also says aromatherapy.

They are fine mate, you should have no problems with it.

Just be careful with menthol crystals as they are pretty strong and I believe 1 or 2 crystals crushed into 10ml of pg is more than sufficient.

I don't use menthol myself but I'm sure someone will know better.

Yes - crystalline menthol is VERY strong... I got a bit to try and even after dilution, it was far too strong to use!

I have ended up "playing it safe" by purchasing a pre-made Menthol Flavour Concentrate which for me is much better and does not have the chemical taste and dryness I was getting from the crystals.

That is one very potent mix you've there . . . I make my friend their plain menthol juice and at most put 2 crystals into 10ml of PG . . . you'll need barely a drop or two of your concentrate.

It's proving to be a bit tricky, I've made 2 acceptable juices, cherry menthol and blackcurrant menthol, a bit of careful tinkering and could be what i'm aiming for but have used bits of other juices so they're no much of a guide.

I just knocked up a quick no nic vg diluted @20% with vodka and menthol+b/currant to get % idea, was ok 1st attempt but lacking a bit, i found a post by DV mixer saying he menthols at 7-7.5% and thats where it went wrong, dunno what i was thinking but I put some more vg and b/currant drops into my bottle of menthol lol

That's the fun of mixing Lardy, as long as you get there in end . . . I've learnt through trial & error, unless it's concentrates that I'm familar with the strength of, to use a 10ml bottle, aim to mix 5ml in that, so that gives a bit of space to add extra bit n bobs.

Normally I end up with 8-9ml, so that says it all. . . just need to get into the habit of writing what I've done down now, for next time.

Well, can anyone remember that cherry, I bought, and hated, from Easy? I had some Bell's menthol crystal, which I bought to make some nic free menthol, using boots VG, and deionised water. Anyway, I added a couple of crystals to 10ml, crushed up, and it has made the unvapable, vapable, just as others had suggested it would.

It is very strong, but I like strong, I would probably suggest most would only need 1 crystal. Having said that, I can still taste the cherry aswell, so I now have a decent cherry menthol. Very happy

I was wondering the same... I would give it a go, what are the alternatives? The drain... lol.
