Thinking of making the Milo box mod fitted with a Evolv DNA20 with USB and a 2400mah battery.

Question is would you pay £130.00 for it as that is how much all the parts costs?

I've made one of those (minus the plexi glass and the round actuators and little different layout)
It's my all day vaping mod which had been performing excellent for the last few months!

Would I pay that amount of money for this mod, not really, it's a home project and it will show

That's all part of the fun, knowing i could sit there and say "I made that".......it's the DNA20 that really bumps the price up.......if i chose to get all the parts from over the world than i could shave off atleast £30-£40 but i chose UK suppliers.

For me personally - no! But I don't need one....

I have a Provari mini and a Semovar. I know the DNA20 is supposed to be the dog's danglies, but I never seem to go over 10 watts (sometimes much less) so I'm not convinced it would really benefit me. I know some cloud chasers are vaping at 17 watts or whatever, but, unless somebody succeeds in convincing me that DNA20 set at 10 watts is better than say the Semovar's Nivel chip at 10 watts then I'm out!

Actually I'm getting more and more interested in mechanical mods having recently experienced a mate's Kalafan with a low resistance coil. The flavour was as good as anything I've experienced so far....

Slightly shocked though that the parts for that mod cost £130 (I would have guessed much less!)

There again that Kalafan is just a tube with a bottom switch (and I think that cost well over £100!) so value is perhaps very subjective in vaping....

When I smoked I never bought an expensive lighter, but vaping is a different ballgame it seems

A NOTE FOR EVERYTHING

You'll need to trim the inside of the bow and the battery connector and battery holder to have it all fit in there. The box is really really small

The 3 rings on top of the mod and thus below the atty have gone now as I flush mounted the connector inside the casing.
And all the wires aren't very neat because I couldn't be bothered with shortening them and putting heatshrinkon them.

I have the practical skills of a sea cucumber, so it's definitely not something that I'd shell out for! (I feel like I've conquered a feat of technical wizardry every time I change a coil head on a protank without getting juice all over myself! ) And considering that you can get an excellent mod made for you for that money, it does seem a bit on the expensive side.

But if you're the kind of person who enjoys building things and you really want that particular mod, then it might be a good investment for you. Don't let me put you off this project just because it sounds like my idea of hell!

Think if i do go ahead with this i will stick with Vapeescape for the DNA-20 and USB as by the time i add discount code with VE they both came out £51.00 including P+P and Pink Mule comes around the same when P+P is added.

The only reason i went for the 510 is because it has Ego threading.

Whatever gets it to you at the lowest cost
The switches are indeed the same you linked (which I only got a few weeks after my switch fitting fiasco) so when I make another one I'll just put those switches in and be done with it
When you put in a battery holder like that expect to do a lot of grinding down the box insides (the screw points) and also grinding away at the battery holder itself to get it fitted.

As for the ego adapter I would flushmount the connector and then when needed just add an ego threading adapter when needed. it really tidies up the box's look if all you would see is those 3 silver buttons

Yes I would. I would like a nicer box mind, so would pay a little more for that, but I'm looking for a quality mod, and the DNA 20 does rank right up there.

I would give it a go myself, safe in the knowledge I have a couple of electrical engineers at work who would be more than willing to dig me out if I made a right mess of it.

To be fair though, I'd probably build it at work anyway, on a day the boss is out of course. They probably have a lot of the simpler components I'd need anyway. And all the best of tooling.
