I just don't know what you're talking about Neither do i half the time, could explain why the OH ignores me To be honest i don't know anything apart from reading, reading, research, research and more reading and then hopefully put all of it into action. And to be even more honest most of the stuff just fly's over my head

xs2man will probably start a new thread when i get around starting it, juts gotta get some funds back in. As for shipping it's pretty much all free apart from Stealthvape and uk.rs-online. Yep it was very kind of mamu helping me on this as she is the maker of it I will tag you when i start a thread, saying that though you might be starting one before me Cheers, looking forward to it. I did a quick spreadsheet to work it all out just there, and to build 2, assuming a £4 delivery cost for half the parts to another location, brings the cost down to £111.11 per mod. So only saving a tenner each really. Still, pretty decent none the less. Might buy the parts for making 2 when I go down that route, and sell one, lol.

Yep, a lot of them parts i linked can be used for a lot more than just one mod as there will be a fair bit left over, the only real expensive side of it is the DNA20 + USB and Battery's. For the small parts from uk-rs you can also increase the quantity's as they are only cheap anyway, will also justify the P+P and they can be used for many more mods.

Yeah, I noticed once you broke the £20 mark at rs that the shipping disappeared. Worth the fiver anyway.
I can probably cut out all the cabling and the kapton tape from it, and just "borrow" that from my work. Could probably get the cost down to around the £85 mark.
Might give it a go come to think on it.

Kinda glad you're persevering with this shiny, wouldn't have the guts myself! Looking forward to seeing the final end product! And then you can start selling them to all of us.. two pluses.. you get to be paid to tinker, and we get a great piece of kit!!

Well bit the bullet and bought all parts except the DNA20D and USB Charger, thought it would be wiser this way to see how all parts fit and how easy it would be with the cutting out on the case.

Well done Jase, As you may know, I sold all my tube mods apart from a couple that I keep for testing and pulsing coils. I moved over to box mods and bizarrely I have ended up with 2 Reo Grands, 2 Rio Mini`s and my latest acquisition yesterday.....a Billet Box. All the Reo`s are pure mech mods and I love them but I hadn't realised until the Billet Box, just how much I miss the electronic mods. Over the Christmas break, I read the thread on making your own DNA20 mod over on UKV (presumably the same one that you have read, coincidence or what?) After giving some more thought, I remembered a guy over on the Reo Mod section of E-cig Forum, who converted a Rio Grand into a DNA20 mod. I have been looking at some of the ready made "Squonking Mods" (cos I love squonking) but they come out at £200+ So I may have a go at a Rio Grand conversion, here for anyone interested :- www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/478411-moddified-reo-grand-dna20d.htmlAs I have a tiny bit of experience working with aluminium, I just have to work out which end of the soldering iron to hold......I am sure I will soon find out. Keep us updated, and if I find enough backbone, I will do the same.

Thanks Greigster (neil) That Reo Mod is indeed very nice......... At first when i posted this i was thinking of costs, of course that is important but then started thinking it's not so much about the mod itself but knowing that i made it and it works (fingers crossed). tbh i probably won't even use it that much, don't really need 20 watts and all that but it's just that feeling of making something myself and seeing the end product and knowing i made it. Will probably blow myself up in the process

Well in that case Super-Shiny you could just make a mod that hasn't got the dna20 in it, as that's the most expensive part.
