I have both the Kayfun lite and Ithaka clones so i can only speak about them, i love them both, the Kayfun is much easier for me to build, change wicks(cotton with micro-coil) and has never leaked and gives a really good vape. The Ithaka is a bit fiddly but lots of options and when done right gives just as a great vape as the Kayfun.
Im getting the Squape next week which is supposed to be even easier to work with and then im done for a good while with RBA.
I guess it depends on what your after...want something easy...go for the Kayfun...want to fiddle and play...go for the Ithaka.

I ordered the lite (shipment date 4/1/2014 but it took me 24 hours to make up my mind between the two. I read the reviews and the discussion on FT and still couldn't decide, In the end it was a coin toss. Hope the coin made the right choice.

I've got the hcigar 3.1 clone (I got mine in the uk, but it's the one listed on FT with the logo) and the vaporbreak Russian. Both vape brilliantly, but the 3.1 clone is streets ahead in build quality.
I'd recommend any kayfun design, they really are the bees knees. If you were looking for something different, how about a fogger? It's a bit more fiddly to coil but when set up with a microcoil and cotton wool it vapes superbly, as good as the kayfun IMO.

I have the fogger v2 and its a smoke machine took me a while to get it setup right but know I can put in 1.8 micro coil and cotton wool in no time at all and I use it all day
I just ordered a kayfun lite of cloud 9 that should be her in the next few days so going by what everybody says and the reviews the kayfun is the one to go for but for the money I have found the fogger is spot on when you have figgerd the little bugger out

I guess it depends on what your after...want something easy...go for the Kayfun...want to fiddle and play...go for the Ithaka. I have the SQuape. Only downfall is it has a plastic tank/window, though I believe there are some on the C9V forum who have fitted a pyrex tank. I also got the solid SS tank because of this. It is VERY easy to coil, though the side channels need to be kept clear. Not cheap! I got it because it is so easy!

Avoid the second link, zero quality IMO compared to the others, piece of rubbish will last you six weeks if you get a good one, mine ended in the bin unused and put me off cloned atties forever it was that bad!
There are decent enough clones out there of course, that Ithaka you linked is great quality, not sure about the cheaper one on FT though haven't tried it. The Taifun is good but not if your hung up on it having a chrome plated brass deck, The Fogger is nice not necessarily a clone but more of a rip off, and the RSST is the go to 'first' genesis atty and won't let you down but it's not a silica RBA
If it was me I'd buy a Kayfun lite in the classies or from Cloud 9, because no clone I've seen matches the quality of the original even close, but if you really can't afford it then I'd suggest the 3.1 if others will vouch for its build quality, hcigar have a good rep for at least having a go at producing a decent copy. Kayfuns are very forgiving and relatively easy to get set up and running well.

snout71 I have all of your suggested RBA clones except the RSST and I could highly recommend each and every one of them. However for me, the Ithaka just edges it over the others ... a bit more time consuming to set up, not difficult mind, but the flavour it produces is hard to beat.

How are you getting on with the squape? what's the vape like compared to the Kayfun? I haven't had a Kayfun, though I know many compare them. I got it as I wanted something easy and that could hold a decent quantity. The quality of workmanship is high and the vape very constant. I believe the ventilation has been increased in the v2, my one. The first time I used it I cut the wicks too short and got a mouthful. Its also common to block the vertical channels if not careful as seen on youtube. I will over time practice more. I have used silica and c.wool. I want to try combining wool and silica.I struggle getting 3mm in the slot. But 2x2mm has worked fine. If similar to the kayfun I can see why so many like the kayfun. When you get it right it is first class.
