just brought a diver v1 ,infact postie brought it this morin
ive now rebuilt this 3 times using 0.2 wire and 6 wraps and getting 0.2ohm
just cant understand why its so low every time i rebuild it
im used to building coils ,and have been for months now .but this is bugging me
following TODD on youtube and still get low ohm's ,,,,,even todd dont know what to do with one leg of the wire
do as he does on his vid tuck one inside the hole and other on outer side ,,,,if that makes sense

Sounds like a short - thats why you are getting such a low resistance rating. I haven't built for the diver so can't advise specifically, but I'd guess that leg that you don't know what to do with is touching something and shorting out!

MOOSE ... this is a little set up guide that I did for the Scuba tank and Diver .... hope it helps. SCUBA TANK AND DIVER SET UPLubricate the O ring on the base with a little e-liquid Screw the tube and base together and mark on base where the e-liquid feed hole ends up Make a coil with 2 x 2mm silica wicks and 5 wraps of Res/NonRes wire Cut one leg of the coil a little shorter than the other and feed the legs through the holes in the ceramic cup Fold back the negative leg and then cut and push the positive leg into the 510 pin hole of the ceramic cup Insert the 510 pin fully into the bottom of the base Insert the ceramic cup into the top of the base ensuring that the wicks are to the sides of the e-liquid feed hole mark .. Hold the 510 pin firmly against the bottom of the base while pushing the ceramic cup firmly into the base Twist off the excess negative wire Cut the wicks on both sides level with the top of the base threading Ease the coil up a little if it is too close to the 510 pin as excess e-liquid on the coil can make contact with the pin and run down it causing a leak. Wet the wicks and coil with e-liquid Wiggle and push the tube over the ceramic cup until it reaches the threading on the base Trim / tuck in any excess wick that is showing Screw home the tube Lubricate the O rings in the Scuba tank caps with e-liquid Insert the diver into the Scuba tank through the bottom cap with the e-liquid feed hole of the Diver in line with the fill hole in the Scuba base cap 1st time fill .. half way Thereafter .. fill to just below the e-liquid feed hole on the Diver NOTE: To avoid damaging the ceramic cup during disassembly, first try to wiggle the ceramic cup out of the base. If this is not succesful, insert a screwdriver into the 510 pin and turn it from side to side to loosen its grip on the ceramic cup and then try removing the cup again.

I'm not sure if MOOSE used this or managed to sort his issue himself. However I will at least take the time to thank you for the time spent in helping him.

Atmistique supply the Diver with a NR-R-NR coil ginge7289 and that is what they recommend in their videos ... however, since there is negligible voltage drop in the relatively short coil legs, I have been building my coils with resistance wire and have noticed no drop off in performance.

The Diver was originally designed for the 35mm Scuba tank and I don't know if a 45mm tube was ever planned.
