Clearomisers (tanks) can last ages. I've got some 12 months old. The heads can last from a week, probably two weeks for you. iClears heads can last weeks-months. I can't see you vaping more than 2ml a day (hopefully even less) so 10ml will last long enough to get another order in. I've just finished 3 x 10ml bottles from LT ecigs www.ltecigs.larsentilbrook.co.uk/and one bottle of Triple 5 from Dekang (myepack). That's 40ml in 27 days. 1.5ml a day (give or take). That's cool then, as long as I make sure I have at least one spare tank for when the in-use one finally fails I'll be OK. I'll probably stock up on enough heads to last at least two months, so that I don't risk running out before I get round to re-ordering. I've just ordered an iclear16 and 5 heads from FT to experiment with, as that'll take a while to get here and I'll concentrate on using the mini-protank until then. Thanks for the advice about likely usage of liquid. I'll use 2ml as a rough guide when deciding how much to order initially and then I'll get a more accurate idea as I use it.

Hi doveman and a very warm welcome I use both mini protanks and iclear 16s on a regular basis. The iclear heads do last much much longer than the mini protanks, but I do prefer the cooler, airier vape of the minis, particularly with fruity or minty flavours. Mr Lairey prefers the iclears. It's all down to personal preference at the end of the day, so I would recommend getting one of each to see what suits you, and keep the mini for potential tank crackers. Thanks lairey, I think I'll probably prefer the cooler vape and will be using more fruity/sweet flavours than tobacco flavours which might taste better with a warmer vape, so the mini protanks will be probably suit me quite well but I have ordered an iclear16 to experiment with as well.

Hi doveman, Would be great to see you and you friends in Saturday, the more the merrier. I presume you've seen alanfinal s thread. It will be a lot easier to answer questions, I'll have an MVP with me and all the kit you've mentioned will be in someones pocket. Its often easier showing rather than explaining. We are off to the pub after and I am already due to be showing a couple of people how to recoil evods and protanks, you'll be more than welcome there too. Hope to see you at the BBC 11am-1pm. Phil. That would be great to come and meet some of you and see some kit. Honestly, I doubt me and my friends could get to the corner shop by 11am on a Saturday but hopefully we'll meet you at the pub at 2pm. I'll try and post in alanfinal's thread once I've discussed it with my friends, to let you all know that we're definitely coming.

Perpetua, thanks for the suggestiong. The MVP is interesting but I'm not sure I'd get on with it's profile and would probably prefer the more "standard" battery/Protank profile. I see it comes with a iClear 30 clearomiser but could that be replaced with a (mini)Protank to eliminate the risk of cracking? If so, I'll think about it a bit more but if I'm replacing the clearomiser, it seems I'm basically paying £40 for a large battery and charger and I can't honestly think of any situations (even camping with no charging ability) where having two or more smaller batteries wouldn't be just as good, if not better. Yes, I have read that Ash at Myepack being prepared to swap the Iclear30 out for something else. Twas just a suggestion really, to give you a well thought of device, if you were set on ordering from China for back ups . . . . knowing what I know now, starting out again, I'd buy one without hesitation.

Hi guys. Sorry I couldn't make it to the meet, I had to help a friend with something that day. Anyway, I ended up buying the £19.99 mini protank kit from myepack, as even though I didn't really want that battery, it was effectively free (as some people said). I also ordered an iclear16 and heads from Fasttech. I bought a bottle of the USA Mix from myepack but that was disgusting and left a horrible chemical taste in my mouth for hours afterwards and I was worried that if all e-liquids tasted like this I wouldn't be able to vape. However, I also ordered some samples from Smoke Rainbow, which arrived nice and fast and they don't have this problem at all and I've liked them all so far except for the King e-cigar peach (1193) which they added for free but is far too strong for me and makes me cough when I try it! I got 6mg or 8mg for all the samples I choose, as my friend who started vaping before me told me he tried the higher nicotine and found them too high and he smokes stronger cigarettes than me anyway. 6mg seems OK for me and stops the cravings sufficiently to not need to smoke, although probably a lot of it is psychological and due to satisfying my need to do something with the vaping. I've got a problem with the iclear16 though as it doesn't work on my Vision Spinner 1300mah battery I bought from myepack, only on the 650mah EVOD battery that came in the mini protank kit. All it does on the Spinner is flash the light when I press the button. I don't really understand this as I thought they were all compatible. I'm not so keen on the iclear16 anyway because of the wicks in it that are a bit of a pain to clean when refilling with different e-liquid. I guess the protank has wicks at the bottom but they're very small and probably don't absorb so much e-liquid (they're not really accessible anyway, so I can only rinse them with some running water when I clean the tank but that's probably enough) I've also managed to break my mini protank, as you can see in this photo . I haven't dropped it but I think it might have fallen over when I stood it upright on the coffee table (which I thought I was meant to do for some reason, I mean keep it upright, not let it fall over!), so obviously that was enough to crack it I'll just have to be more careful with the replacement. So my vaping's pretty much on hold until I get another mini protank as the iclear16 doesn't work on my spinner and I find it a pain to clean anyway. I'll probably just get another one from myepack, as although FastTech would be cheaper (not sure they've got a V2 with the removable drip-tip though), in the time it takes to get here, I'll have spent a lot more than I'm saving on fags anyway.

dovemanYou can buy glass tank £1.99 each only for the Mini Protank HEREAs for the Evod not working on some batteries all that you need to do is prise the centre pin up on your battery by about 1mm using a toothpick or something non conducting. See the video below. If this fixes the problem then remember to not over tighten atomisers when you put them on your batteries as it pushes the pin down.

Shame about the mini protank glass I've dropped mine a few times with no damage must have been the angle it was dropped at but at least replacements are cheap and myepack are fast delivery. I have a couple of spares as I bought some of the coloured ones but really once the juice is in them they look no different. Sometimes my protank mini isn't working and I have to pull down the centre pin very slightly but they are months old now. I never did manage to move the pin on my batteries lol

Nice one DiscoDes, I didn't realise that I could buy the glass part separately and was about to order a whole new tank (I was considering the full-sized Protank actually as it's only £2 more), so this will save me a lot of money. I think I'll buy two so that I've got a spare on hand just in case I manage to break it again! Thanks for the tip about prising up the centre-pin as well, I'll be very happy if I can get the iClear working with the Spinner as I much prefer to use that, so that I can adjust the vape to my liking. Even though it's a bit of a pain to clean, I wouldn't mind so much if I can use it with the Spinner and it's nice to have two filled tanks that I can swap over if I fancy a different flavour.
