Am currently using an MVP with a protank mini on top. Great setup btw. Anyway problem is now when I screw on or off my protank, the whole mechanism on top of the MVP ( where the atty screws on)unscrews/ screws up too. Am worried that it's going to break completely. I know it's probably from screwing the protank on too tight, but if it's not on tight enough then I can't get a draw. I have pulled the pin down on the protank for a better connection but it's really wobbly. Is it fixable? Someone somewhere must know. Debbie

Don't worry about it. I think it's fooked! Won't fire up at all so looks like its knackered. Will try and see If I can take it apart and fix if not oh dear, will have to buy a new one, lol

Hi Debbie, Sorry to hear about your dead MVP. It should still be fixable. You'll need a torx t7 or t6 to get the bolts out of the top. Then you should be able to see whats loose. Good luck.

Don't worry about it. I think it's fooked! Won't fire up at all so looks like its knackered. Will try and see If I can take it apart and fix if not oh dear, will have to buy a new one, lol It can be fixed unless the rotation has caused a short and fried it. The 510/eGo connector is a friction fit into the top plate and over time they can become loose. The wires will be tortured and the negative connection can make contact with the frame inside which carries the top board (also neg but if the hot wire has made contact too...). If yours has been rotating 360 then it's likely that one of the wires has given up and broken loose. It's not a major job to repair, T6 Torx bit for the screws and remove the top cover (careful with the button!), secure the connector (I recommend epoxy) and re solder the wire/s. If you don't fancy tackling the repair then I'm happy to do it if you cover the return postage.

Thankyou seniorphil and raid2506. Will try and take it apart. Had a look in the workshop but looks like I haven't got the right tool. Another shopping trip whoopee! Lol It has been unscrewing all the way around so possibility as you said of wires coming undone. Wasn't sure if I could take it apart to check without buggering it up, but as it's not working then I have nothing to lose. If I have no luck then I will take you up on your offer raid, thankyou.
