Merry new year guys. Hope you all had a good one.
This post is basically just to get your opinion on something.
Last Sunday i ordered £50s of vaping gear from a well known seller. I payed £4 extra for next day delivery. Now, over a week later there's no sign of it. I'm trying to be patient; the seller/shop said they were looking into it and that it had been dispatched, but I've not heard anything since Saturday. I would hope it had been dispatched seeing as its been a week! I've never had any problem with this shop before though.
I feel that if I have to send an email just to request another update I may get pretty mad. £50 of goods lost in next day transit is ridiculous, though I can let the wasted £4 delivery slide. Should this turn sour, the only option im aware of is a PayPal dispute...
What would you do?

Send another e-mail asking for an update and also asking for the special delivery fee to be reimbursed

Did they give you a tracking code? I'd be interested to see what that reveals. In the meantime all you can do is what Karma said. Annoying in the extreme as it is, what else are you going to do? Just keep on at them and if it hasn't arrived by Friday I'd open a PayPal dispute

I would certainly do as Karma said, but as this is already 8 days, i would ask for a copy of the tracking number to just make sure they did post it when they claimed to

RM were quite good this year leading upto Xmas, they seem to have Forgotten January sales and let the temporary staff go early this year. At least that is the impression I have so far, the other problem is, Once RM have missed a delivery deadline, that item looses all priority. They will switch all their efforts to items that might make their deadlines first, Then if their are hours left that day to deal with delayed stuff, they will start To process the heap. It's the way they have been working, leading up to privatisation, don't expect Any improvements as the pursuits of profits take over.

I would ring the vendor rather than email them as there is clearly an issue that needs to be resolved either with the vendor or royal mail, either way I think the vendor should resend your order as a goodwill gesture while they claim for the missing delivery.

I'm disappointed the Vendor didn't send you the tracking number, especially for Special Delivery, when they sent you the dispatched email Monki.

Or at least that's what you told them haha. That is terrible though.. Thankfully,I had a parcel sat on the floor as I came home from work yesterday I honestly thought I'd never see it hah...guess I won't bother paying extra for next day again! It wasn't even royal mail either, it was a courier.

You need to get in touch with the vendor and get a refund on the next day delivery charges as the vendor will be able to reclaim them from the courier. All the top vendors would refund you the charges without question with perhaps the odd exception of a well documented vendor.

Please tell the vendor, if you don't then they may never know. No one can fix a problem, when they don't know about it. Customer feedback is nice when it's positive, vital when it's negative
