Question re tanks

I bought a Viva Nova tank a couple of weeks ago, on recomendation because I want a tank that won't crack when using cinnamon juice. Everything tastes weird in it, sort of burnt. I have changed the wick twice but that doesn't help. Any ideas?

Are you using vv/vw device?

If u are try lowering volts or watts

I've read somewhere on here that if you clean a new coil before using it can make it better

If you've burned it you won't get rid of the taste. You'll have to replace the head. Before you put the new head in put a few drops of juice on the wick to help it along.

I used to use novas a lot and never had that trouble. But all Novas are not created equal (mine would probably crack if I put cinnamon in them). Maybe yours was made by somebody who is a little careless in the finishing, in which case it might help if you boiled it in water for a while.

I suspect novas are getting a bit old-fashioned, and protank is now the more usual recommendation for someone with tank-cracking juices.

It just seemed slightly burnt right from the start. I replaced the head but it's just the same. I was thinking it might be a good idea to let it soak in juice for a bit before using but alas I did not (too impatient). I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks Balllsy

Giles I was told it wouldnt crack because it was metal. I wanted a glass tank but they had sold out. Again I was too impatient to wait on the delivery

Your wicks need to be kept wet. Unlike an evod or protank which will be perfectly happy sitting in an upright position all day a nove needs to be swooshed round frequently to ensure the juice reaches all the wick.

Exactly what @condimentking said . . . I still use Vivi Nova's alot, they need ' swooshing ' every few puffs, especially on the metal tanks where it's not so easy to see your juice levels doggroomer.

A cocktail stick dipped in the tank will act as a sort of dip stick and help you judge the levels.

Since swapping to Protanks i havent used a VN at all!I can say that the Protank 3 is a great bit of kit!

Unless your Vivi Nova is entirely metal, it can crack.

However, I've vaped over a half a dozen "Cinnamon" and 25+ "Citrus" vapes and never cracked a tank.

More likely it's just burning. It happens.

Well thanks guy's, I knew you would have good advice for me. I think the protank might be worth trying.
