I really like the Kayfun (or rather FastTech's v3.1 ES clone)... when sitting at home.
Problem is, if I carry it around it leaks like a bitch through the air hole. I've rebuilt it several times and, while it's happy sitting upright on my desk, it just doesn't like being carried around. It's not even immune to leakage being laid on its side. Is this unusual?
A second problem is that the vacuum doesn't always seem to work. Sometimes the vape gets a little thin - though it's easy to spot before it dry-vapes - and the only fix seems to be to unscrew the top a little, at which point three big bubbles blob up from below the clear mid-section and it's happy again (though sometimes I've to blow a little excess out of the airhole - nothing like the amount that would have displaced the air in the bubbles).
In general I'm looking at the Aqua, the Ithaka and the GT and GS clones at FastTech. Are any of them likely to be more stable to movement and orientation?

Sounds more like a filling issue. If you have juice in the air hole that means the chamber is overflowing.
If you over fill or fill too quickly the pressure will be so great that the juice will force it's way and saturate the wicks and overflow. I presume you are filling it whilst keeping it on it's side or upside down allowing the air in the tank to escape as it gradually fills. If not, that could be the issue.
If you want some additional wicking, just hold your finger over the airhole and suck gently without activating the mod.

Not filling through the port, I don't have a luer needle, just from the top. According to richo71's excellent video the Aqua has solution to all these problems (juice flow control at the top, air flow control at the bottom blocking out the airflow while filling - and presumably while transporting), so I'm ordering one of those tomorrow. Depending on finances I'll get a Taifun GS clone too and leave the Ithaka (and maybe the GT, depending on how the GS is) until next month.

I fill mine through the juice filling hole using a luer needle bottle with the slow pulsing method and stopping when a small amount of air is still visable and I have never had a leak ... check either Super-Shiny 's guide or one of Andrew W's youtube guides. Filling from the top requires a lot of practice to achieve the correct vacuum, much simpler to buy a leur bottle and fill as intended.

If it's really that bad I think it's kind of stupid to supply it without a luer (FastTech)

Cloud9vaping list them as an "available accessory" C9V only give a Luer tip and Bottle with the Kayfun 2.1, probably because it's the only one out of the Kayfun family that has to be dead on when filling

I fill my kayfun clone from fast tech from the top too After filling f you screw the top back on and then take off the drip tip Then roll up a piece of kitchen paper put it down the hole in the chimney Leave it there for 5 - 10 seconds and it soaks up the small amount of excess liquid in there Screw the drip tip back on and your good to go

I was thinking about that, but it means flipping the tip off and as much seems to go on my fingers as I'd save.
Anyway, both Aqua (SKU: 1570800) and Taifun GS (SKU: 1594300) were showing as in stock at FT, so I've ordered.
