Yep good dealer to get the Panasonic batteries from, which also includes the battery case. You could try you luck with FT and select Malaysian post......worth a punt for £10.50 ish. Griff

As I messaged clivealive1 I have flat topped NCR18650Bs, and button topped 18650s from other manufacturers, and my ZMax (pretty similar to the Vamo) is happy either way.

Our two first vamo's bought at the same time from the same vendor, mine could take either but mrs poo's needed button tops The contact up inside the tube was evidently slightly higher up in hers than mine, so I'd say get button tops just to be sure

Can you not just stretch the coil up a bit?

I bought NCR PDs off an ebay seller recommended on UKV as they worked out to a good price and Torchy was OOS of the Bs. Good batteries, long lifetime - but now wondering about that extra 500mah. Next time!

I used to have the NCR B's and the PD's. Both fine batteries indeed. But I came across a thread on a US vapers site going right in depth about batteries. In particular for use in mechanical mods. The consensus at the end of the thread, which provided detailed logs and graphs of various batteries performance, was that the Panasonic CGR 18650CH was, in fact, the best battery to use for mechanical mods. Even better than the AW IMR 18650. This is probably not the thread I had read, but is a good one none the less : www.vapeatron.com/cgr18650ch-bio-imr-18650-18350-co-op-11712-page11/#post117019The result of which is that I sold my B's and PD's and got a couple of these CGR CH's. Although I admit I am moving more towards regulated power, so will more likely be going for 18500 / 18350 + kick with mechs, or straight 18350/18500/18650 VW devices in future. That being said, I never had any issues with either my B's or PD's. But decided I really just wanted the best performing batteries. Haven't found them in 18350 / 18500 guise though, so will probably just be hitting up Torchy for them sizes, but I am fine using my 18350 Ultrafires just now (despite their horrible reputation).
