By the way that's absolutely pointless. .45mm has to much heat up time to be viable. That is your opinion, and you are perfectly entitled to it. Fortunately, I like it and couldn't care less what you think you know. Sorry, was having a bad day yesterday.

Hmm, I am just starting my attempts at making a coil (coil buddy arrived today, though not had time to use it yet). I had a couple of poor attempts at microcoiling, and a couple of normal coils for a protank 2. Experimenting really with a beginners kit from vapemesh(i think) and my best effort so far came with .4 ribbon and .3 silicon. Got 1.4ohm, the others I had tried were upper 2s lol.
Not really vaped a lot on it yet as I am mainly using my iclear 30, but it didn't appear to be too slow in response... my main aim atm is to make a coil that doesn't leak!! lol

We all have bad days mate, I was a bit off with you too, sorry for that. It is a bit slow at heating, but not so bad. I wound between 7 and 9 winds round a 2mm bit getting .9 ohms. Can't remember exactly how many as it was about 2 months ago now and my eyes are too bad to see it properly to count.

Saved me getting a ohms tester, thanks digiw0rx. Came out at 0.7ohms, so he must of forgot! Did you find out what the battery is in the end boyofford ? Going by THIS calculator a .7 ohm load at 4.2v is about 6A (the battery won't stay at 4.2v for long). If the red battery is an AW IMR, then i'd say it's too risky to use with this coil, you'd probably be better off with a nice 18650 of a known make. Here are a couple of useful images I got from a Facebook group (drip atomizers only) - a bunch of loonies building mad low ohm stuff.
[edit] can't believe the image links worked first time [/edit]

Will have to look at pics later, can't read properly. So 0.7 ohms at 4.3v would be 6 amp drain.... My battery says 3.7v, is that right? Can't read second pic at all lol, will take a look later on computer.
Thanks for all your help bud with trying to prevent me blowing myself up!

A battery will be about 4.2v when fresh off the charger, then it settles down to about 3.7v for most of it's charge, then drops down. I don't know how long each phase is, I just go with the maximum possible voltage when working out the amps to be on the safe side. According to the battery pic, your 18650 is good for 10A, so that is fine to use and should give you a decent life too Have a wicked vape mate!

But yeah that's what i mean about the .45 it maybe low resistance but it doesn't really help, tried it myself. a decent .3 or .32 around 7-8 wraps will give you 1.5 ohms and a stellar vape, I use it all the time
