Hi Ecighunter and thanks for your order. I can confirm that that all yesterdays orders were in Royal Mails hands for 3.30pm and all are next day delivery, so hopefully you should be vaping away later today. I received it this afternoon - many thanks Jason. This vaping lark is pretty good! Very impressed! (I feel like a kid in a sweetshop at the moment!) How often should I top up cartridges with juice? And by how many drops each time? Also, how long does each cartridge last? Or how will I know when to change them?

Glad you got it and thanks Top up the cartridges whenever you notice the flavour dropping away. Just enough drops to get it looking like a slush puppy but not overflowing. You can top the cartridges up quite a few times, until the filler becomes old and worn. Some people wash it out and others replace it or the cartridges. Once you get settled in and used to vaping, I would recommend you look at cartomisers instead, which are a combined atomiser and cartridge that hold more liquid and are cheaper in the long run. But, get used to it first, I would say.

I think you've got ordinary cartridges with fluffly stuffing in them? You'll know when to top up because the vape drop off and you may get a slightly burny taste. A pair of pointy tweezers or unbent paper clip are handy for faffing with stuffing. What I used to do was push the stuffing down into the cart, then top up cavity with a few drop of juice nearly to the top, then pull the stuffing up with tweezers and squidge it about a bit to mix the juice in thoroughly. The stuffing should look wet. If you don't get on with refilling carts you can, instead, dispense with the stuffing and drip juice straight down the atty onto the wire-wool coil, just 2 drops, 3 drops max, replace the cart and puff away. You'll have to repeat more often than with stuffing but it's quite faff-free. The stuffing, BTW, can be rinsed under the tap, blotted dry and reused for a long time. And you can use Fluval (fish-tank filter material) available from eBay, or "blue foam" from Paradise Vapes or another supplier, they are both better than the original stuff. Rather than go thru that stage though, you might like to "advance" to cartomisers or clearomisers or other tank-type atties. See how you go Glad you're in sweet-shop mode, Hunter scylla

No worries Scylla, your answers are far more concise than mine anyway

It is pretty good isn't it I even think the bit of faffing you have to do with filling/dripping actually helps as it sort of replaces the ritual of rolling/lighting a real cig

Day 2 of my new pastime and i'm still buzzing. Will try the cartomisers out once current supplies start running low (might be quite soon if I continue to vape at this rate). Does anyone know if any suppliers sell sample packs of the various juice flavours? There's so many flavours I want to try, but i'm thinking buying 10ml bottles each time as I work my way through them might end up a bit costly.

Nearly one month on and i'm still thoroughly enjoying my new hobby! I'm vaping a hellava lot more than I ever smoked Thanks once again to everyone's excellent advice here. Finally starting to settle on my favourite equipment; here's where i'm at: Not a great fan of cartridges any more - i'm finding a few strands of the filler stuff often gets pulled out when removing the cartridge. I'm also finding cartridges become more difficult to draw on after they've been refilled a few times. Cartomisers are ok, but maybe a bit hit & miss. I've found when using a couple of them initially the flavour seems a bit off, almost a bit of a plastic-ish taste on occasions. Echomisers kick serious butt. So far, they're far and away my favourite "long haul" type of refill. Direct dripping rocks; especially when using the more powerful flavours that I don't want to 'commit' whole Echomisers/cartomisers to. Supplier wise, i've found Vape Escape's service superb; Jason's very quick to reply to emails, as well as quick to send out orders in time for the next day. Juice wise, i'm loving Banoffee Cream, Apple flavour variants & some of the tobacco flavours. Some of the 'rich' flavours (esp Pepetu Leche) can be a bit sickly though. I've just put an order in for some "Mary Jane" from Paradise Vape - which sounds quite an intriguing flavour! Hopefully i'll resist digging out my Silver Apples CDs when the order arrives. All in all i'm finding vaping pretty cushty! I do have a couple of questions... One thing I have found is that sometimes a rogue splodge of liquid sometimes seeps through the drip tips and into my mouth, which tastes a bit rank. Is there anything I can use (e.g. gauze/filters etc) to prevent this from happening? What's the difference between VG and PG based liquids in terms of flavour & hit? And are either of these 'healthier' than the other? And finally, does anyone have any recommendations for accessories I haven't tried yet?

So pleased to hear you are doing so well Hunter I suppose you could put some of the blue foam, that paradise vapes sells for restuffing cartridges, into your drip tip. But it would kind of defeat the object of it being a drip tip VG gives more flavour & vapour. PG gives more throat hit. hard to say if either are healthier than the other. However, some folks are allergic to PG & on a very rarely some are allergic to VG. Can't think of any recommendations for accessories at the moment - apart from maybe a tank of some kind? But hows about looking into buying a big battery mod at some time?

welcome e-cig hunter, congrats on making the switch to vaping from those damn cancer sticks. I started the same as you with an imitation fag (vip.com) but progressed to a 510-t within a week ! That is not to say that I do not use the one from VIP, infact I use that as my day to day regular vape only switching to the 510-t in the evenings for a change of flavour. I too much prefer the smaller traditional sized models rather than the 'super duper hi user' cigar sized models and I was a 30 a day roll up man myself and it can keep up with me, so do not let size put you off. Also the VIP cartomisers can be refilled quite easily too giving you savings that way too. Enjoy your time on this forum, it's friendly, fun and above all else factual (no suppliers pushing their products onto you via fake reviews).
