I've had a kick arrive from FT yesterday (shipped out 27th Dec, Singapore Post) but it seems to be DOA - tried it in three mods, not firing in any of them. Also just tested the resistance across the terminals, and no circuit is made. I don't know what it ought to be, I've never used a kick before, but no circuit seems definitely wrong. I've opened a ticket. They need some power before the circuit is open, positive to the base and neg to the sprung pin on the side. Put it in a mod tube/base on top of a battery then check for volts getting through, pos to kick top and neg to mod body. Hmmm. I just tried this, and I'm getting a reading of 3.25V regardless of the adjustment - but still no firing.

I just checked the tracking for my order and it's left for the uk....sweet......it's only taken two weeks to leave China...lol

Just received mine via the regular airmail (HKP) 23 days from order, 18 days since shipping; much quicker than expected. Seems to work, will only be using with 18350 + Kayfun 1.2 ohm mc + Pisces T (clones).

Had 3 kicks come yesterday, all work fine, fit my KTS mod OK but not the Private v2, but am only having these as back-up so not too worried. Dave

And FT have agreed to replace the defective item. Hoping it'll be shipped before China closes for the holidays.

Can I ask a question guys?
I am picking up my new Titanide Themis 14 tomorrow. I was undecided between getting the 14 or the larger 18. The reason is, I originally wanted the 18 was because it was the only one big enough to fit a kick in. If I am honest, I don't really know what the extra benefits of having one are. I decided to get the smaller 14 as the 18 was way too large in size for me. Sooooo.... What will I be missing?

Ohms ChartYou'll need to use coils that draw the wattage you like to vape at, at somewhere around the middle of the battery's useable voltage Blownupdolly. Say the battery is good from 4.2 to 3.6 volts (anything lower you're going to struggle to get an acceptable vape) so the average is 3.9volts. If you look at the chart on the link you'll see that to get say 10 watts you'll need a 1.5ohm coil at 3.9 volts. A fresh battery then will start at 11.6 watts, halfway through its discharge (3.9volts) you'll be getting your ideal 10(.14) watts, then by the time the battery is down to 3.6volts you'll be getting 8.64 watts. You'll probably want to put in a fresh battery by then. I don't think the table allows for voltage drop through the mod, so IF ten watts was your sweet spot then you might experiment with a slightly lower resistance coil to allow for this, say 1.3ohms. If you're in any doubt about coiling or putting up with the reducing quality of vape as the battery drains, then get an 18*** version and a kick. I hope that all makes sense! They are a really nice looking mod btw EDIT: the kick allows you to set the wattage, and then regulates the output even as the battery drains, so set it at 10watts and it will output that until the battery dies and needs recharging.

Thanks for all that poochops. I have already paid for the 14. I will have a look at both sizes when I go to pick it up tomorrow. I really don't want an overly large mod and was told the 18 is huge. I reckon I would cope perfectly ok without a kick. Also, being very expensive I won't be using it all day, everyday. I want to really look after it and use my SID and Vamo in between. Thanks again, yes it's a gorgeous thing and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
