Welcome ive been on here just less than a week and been vaping the same amount of time. My advice would be to buy the best you can afford, dont bother with egos and ce4s like I did, I wanted to upgrade straight away after buying. steve

Hi dhansak and a very warm from me too As has been said, well done on researching before your purchase. Myepack are a fantastic vendor, I have already lost count of the number of orders I have placed with them, fantastic prices and service is second to none! As you seem to be veering towards the MVP2 & mini-protank kit as back-up, I would just suggest adding an iClear 16 or 2 onto the order - that way, you have back-ups and a variety to see what you prefer. As far as juices go... do you know what you want to try? Tobacco flavours, or something different? I don't like tobacco flavours at all, but Mr Lairey vapes nothing but and the Dekang King of Cigars is one of his favourites. Order a couple of bottles of different flavours from Myepack and then have a look on JooseJuice - the Black Gold is very popular, but as you've read, does need a couple of weeks' steeping time. Have a look at SmokeRainbow as they do loads of 1ml samples for about 50-60p each, so will give you the opportunity to try something completely different without shelling out for a full 10mls that you might not like, will take about a week to arrive though - alternatively, buy anything from T-Juice (apart from Java Java) and if you don't like it, you will have absolutely no trouble selling it on the classies here as everyone loves them

Myepack juices are made by Dekang on an industrial scale in China. Ready to vape cheap and (fairly) chearfull. Bit of a lucky dip sometimes the flavour will resmble what it says on the bottle sometimes it wont!

Hi dhansak and welcome to AAE-C Thats an excellent bit of research you did there, and you hit it just about right for starter kits. I'm a newbie myself and started with the Evod kit which is an suberb starter kit, but within 2 months have upgraded to the MVP2 and Protank Mini's. If I were starting again, then with hindsight this is probably what I would start with. My Evods are still serving me well, but now they are relegated to backup, and because they are quite small my going out gear (in their smart little Ego case). The Hangsen juices on Myepack are ok for starting with and should keep you going until you get some steeped.

dhansak, it looks like there is a lot of agreement on the MVP 2 / Mini Protank back-up route I suggested earlier. So I will make a further comment. I personally wouldn't recommend buying spare heads at the time of original purchase. With that set-up, you will have a Top coil clearo (iClear 30) and a bottom coil clearo (mini protank). Preference on clearos is very subjective, and will have a lot to do with your personal tastes. For example, I am very much a fan of bottom coils like the Protank and Aspire stuff, and I REALLY don't like my iClear 30, despite giving it several attempts (I have one in use just now, but as always, I aint liking it. Should really sell it to be honest). With that in mind, your original purchase will be far from your last. So I would leave off buying the heads until you decide which tank works best for you. If you find you prefer the iClear, then pop iClear heads in your next order, if you find you prefer the Protank, then pop some PT heads in your next order. That way you aren't buying a lot of stuff you will end up not liking. Once you have decided what style clearo you like, you may want to buy a couple back-ups of that style. i.e. iClear 16's or 30s if you prefer them, or Protank 2 or 3 / Aspire BDC if you prefer the bottom coil thing. As for e-liquid, you can buy pretty much anything you fancy from the T-Juice shop and if you don't like it, it will sell quick in the classifieds, as said above. Plus you can get most, if not all, of their flavours in concentrate, so if or when you fancy mixing yourself, you can mix up some of your own. I am a HUGE T-Juice fan, and have been vaping Red Astaire as my all day vape pretty much solid for the last couple months, and it is still awesome. I do, however, have LOADS of different flavours here that I just will likely never use. PM me your address and I'll send you a couple flavours FOC for you to try. This will be your most expensive part of the process to be honest. Finding a good juice you like. You end up buying so many flavours, from so many vendors, the p+p all adds up. I just bought some Toot'in Juice from ifancyone and I must admit, it is excellent stuff as well. There are soooo many nice flavours out there, but as taste is so subjective, you can't really rely on other peoples opinions. Never buy more than 10ml of a flavour until you know you like it. And even then, not in the first couple months, as your tastes change sooooooo much. As for strengths, when I first started, I started on 36mg. This was great for 6-8 weeks, then I started reducing it. I currently sit between 16 and 24 depending on whether I make it up or not. I generally buy 24mg with a view that I can water it down a little if needs be. But when I mix my own, it is usually around 18-22 mg. This is after around 6 months though, and I was quite a heavy smoker. I would get a couple 24mg's and a couple 36's. You might just need the extra kick of the 36mg to get you off the smokes, but maybe not for too long.

Hello & dhansak - begs the question, Lamb, Chicken or Vegetarian ??? I digress, You've had LOADS of good advice above the only thing I'll add is don't go too low on nicotine strength initially. The first thing you need to do is find something that satisfies you enough to keep you off of the stinkies. So I'd say get some 24mg at least, and maybe one at 18mg. This will help with any cravings. You can reduce your nicotine content later. Flavour is more difficult, many start with tobacco analogues and move away after some time, so get a selection. Keep an eye out in the classified section for some bargains and if you can get yourself along to a Vape-meet. I cannot recall one Vape Meet where I've not come away with some juice to try Good luck and don't be afraid to ask any questions.

dhansak if it was me starting out I would go for the following: Mini Protank Kit along with a spare Evod Twist BatteryThe mini protanks are made with pyrex glass which is perfect for any tank cracking juice you might decide to buy and is a great little tank to have (I use them all day long), and as you'd need a spare battery anyway you might as well go for the Twist type so you can change the voltage setting. Anyway, whatever you decide to get, hi there and good luck on your vaping journey

Thank you all for the warm welcomes - you have a dang fine community here SpiceOfLife - thanks for Hanseng info - and the coffee tip! also info on meyepack juices from Dekang karma - thanks for juice and discount code links and comments re mvp2 babs -thanks for pointing out fastech & confirming a good myepack experience. You mentioned upgrading from the protank mini to the itaste vv-v3. Did that work out well? Were there any issues with the protank mini? Romney - thanks for Evod kit recommendation - out of interest - what did you change to later? toots and djs - mini protank and evod twist now on the list! stevenj - will follow your advice - egos and c4s off the list charon - will def try for the free p&p threshold - thx! zeldamum, DiscoDes and xs2man - thanks for nicotine strength context - I really had no clue where i fitted on the scale.. by the way DiscoDes the answer is chicken tominmids - you mentioned your evods were now going out gear due to their smaller size (vs the mpv2) . I was wondering about the size of the mvp2 - opening the question to all: is it a bit to big for carrying about use? Would you choose something smaller if you were just popping out for a couple of hours? lairey - in all honesty I think I will be looking for tobacco flavours initially because I don't know any better Thanks for pointing out smoke rainbow's 50/60p samples - will try random t-juices I guess (as they seem to be highly regarded) and hope I hit sympatico flavours early in the quest! dave - you were right - am stressing about first purchase - - but I'll stop soon nearly there! chris86 - thanks for bringing up the warm/cold vape thing. I had read about the top/bottom coil but the practical significance of this wasn't on my radar. I'm guessing that warm is what I'm going for - have never felt satisfied by the cool menthol type experience. Or am I confusing a different warm/cool feeling in vaping? -- will have to try and see I guess. xs2man - thank you so much for your really kind offer to take the trouble and expense of sending me a couple of free samples (plus many thx for the info you have provided as well) I will PM you with my address shortly - whenever you find the time to send them that is convenient to you would be great - much appreciated Right - am off of to recompile my amended options and have a ponder. Will post my final choice (or dilemma!) tomorrow - hope to order then so I can play at the weekend! Thank you all again for the welcome and support - you guys are great!

Hi dhansak and to aaec. Warm vs cool isn't menthol related, but the actual temperature of the vapour as it hits your mouth. The mini protank gives a 'cool' vape but the key reason for buying one is it's glass. You'll need a glass tank or two for tank cracking juices. iclears 16's are great for everything else and my personal favourite for day to day use. Very easy to refill, to clean and they last ages. I don't own one, but I've a friend new to vaping who says he loves his MVP. Takes it to work and has it on him all day. I'm a v3 (have two of those kits you linked) and VTR user and have had no trouble with them. Really impressed with the amount of research you've done. Amazing start and I reckon you'll do well.

Hi dhansak and welcome, they're such a friendly bunch on here it's amazing, anyway I've tried alsorts but would recommend a couple of evods and a mini protank from myepack who are a superb company, batteries I've got loads of ego type but recently bought an itaste vv v3 which are superb from www.vapercaper.co.uk/collections/complete-kits/products/innokin-itaste-vv-v3 and immediately bought another. In short I use evods and iclear 16s for out and about and a mini protank for the evenings, the evod and mini protank heads are interchangeable which is a bonus. Good luck with vaping, it's the future
