Welcome.
my tuppence worth, i think evods are a cracking starter kit, they will see you through for a while till you get the hang of it and then later upgrade. I find that som just cant cope with better tanks and batteries at first as they cough and splutter everywherecause of the amount of vapour and flavour they produce, but once you get the hang of it and want more flavours then its time to upgrade to Variable voltage and better tanks
one thing is for sure, always get 2 batteries. you need a back up for when one runs out or even breaks, you would be gutted if you stayed off the stinkies only to go back to them cause you had no battery

Hi I had no problem with the mini protank kit just wanted to upgrade the battery to vv/vw. I still have the protank kit battery as backup and use it on occasion mainly when I'm using a dripper so test my own mixes. I still use the mini protank's and have bought more it's really the only topper I use. I bought couple of ego twists but found the numbers to hard to read the itaste is very clear and is also a resistance checker. Sorry for the delay in replying I was offline a while. Hope this helps

Hi dhansak and welcome, they're such a friendly bunch on here it's amazing, anyway I've tried alsorts but would recommend a couple of evods and a mini protank from myepack who are a superb company, batteries I've got loads of ego type but recently bought an itaste vv v3 which are superb from www.vapercaper.co.uk/collections/complete-kits/products/innokin-itaste-vv-v3 and immediately bought another. In short I use evods and iclear 16s for out and about and a mini protank for the evenings, the evod and mini protank heads are interchangeable which is a bonus. Good luck with vaping, it's the future You can get cheaper itaste vv v3 batteries from here: innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=159 Only £19.50 for the battery and £2.50 for the charger. Bought several of these for myself and friends, that's why they're out of stock at the moment, I've gone and bought the lot haha He'll get some more in no doubt though

The MVP2 is about the size and shape of a 10 pack of ciggies, but a bit weightier obviously, but not too weighty to be carried in a pocket. But with a clearo screwed on, that makes it a bit taller and a little more awkward especially in a trouser pocket. If I'm only out for a short while I usually take my little (650mah) batteries and either Evod or Protank Mini clearos because I have a carry case that holds 2 of them.

dhansak - can't really add much to this discussion that hasn't been said before. I have a Vision Spinner for out and about which is a first class battery - last almost all day on a full charge, and with the option to adjust the voltage according to what's on top and the type of juice, it's a winner for me! I have a couple of Vamos for at home and in the car - and I now use almost exclusively Protanks which I recoil myself with microcoils and cotton wool wicks. New factory heads will only cost you around £2.50 each, or much less if you order from China, but bear in mind the travel time. As far as juices are concerned, you might be surprised how much you will like other types of flavours. I have a sweet tooth so prefer dessert and fruit flavours, although a good strong menthol is always useful in the box when you want a complete change of taste! Let us know when you have made your choice, we might be able to point you to cheaper sources

dhansak Welcome to the fun house ,will add these here are the down to earth friendly bunch of all the forums i am on lol well done on the mine field on researching, end of day right or wrong choice on first kit we all have done it,then later progressed to either basic stuff or Robby's temptation of FT /Vapour Break or eveil shiny must have no hope cannot turn back!!! to keep the mvp 2 in mind, even the vamo, svd ,VTR all have one thing that will come in handy if you eventually start the recoil route, they have a resistance checker built in,so save buying a checker in long run...... As for juices well that is the hit miss like dont like route, some like others dont,as for doing 25g of hand roll congrats ,was doing that in 2 days ,36mg is a good idea but finding some vendors who will do it is a problem most limit to what i have seen to 24mg max, with Just Joose if ordering theres a pull down menu on ratio, suggest you go for 50/50 pg/vg,default is 100% pg,also you may get sore throat slight headaches at the start its normal, drink plenty of fluids, also do not treat it as a roll up,most will choke inhaling into lungs art first ,basic its clean steam, lungs not used to it,besides most of the nic will absorb into veins at back of throat ...good luck with starting ,dont be afraid to ask

dhansak I was Smoking Baccy too, about 120g a week though!! If you get Vaping I think I would suggest a Lowish Mg Nicotine content, as you are not a heavy Smoker, I tried 18mg at first but soon reduced to 12mg, I am a heavy Vaper, as I was Smoking Heavily and a Tank that holds 3ml (an iClear 30 ) gets refilled several times a day. You would probably only need a Tank that holds 1.6ml, it'd last you a day or more. My mate was a Rollie Smoker, about 25g a week, and his MVP2 lasts nearly a week between recharges. He does switch it off when he's had a Vape though!! Baccy Flavs are a favourite, at first, but other Flavs appeal quite quickly!! Don't buy too much Juice of one Flav at first, your Tastebuds WILL change, and require a different Taste, at first quite often. Several Vendors offer "Taster packs" of smaller quantity bottles, if you dont like one keep it and try it again a couple of months later, if you still dont like it swap it on here, or give it away so a newbie can try it!!

Thanks all for the further and new info - brilliant! I think its coming together - my order template is looking like this: 2 batteries - both vv or vw 2 tanks (min) one cool, one warm 1 usb charger Batteries on the list: mvp2, vv3, evod twist, vision spinner Cool tank: mini protank 2 Warm tank: iclear30, iclear16 The mini protank2 is definite (hurrah - at last a decision on something!) Am considering the 2 iclears initially just by circumstance i.e mvp2 comes with a the iclear30; the vv3 kit comes with the iclear16. I gather the 16 is well liked - don't know about the 30 though... I know that xs2man really doesn't like his. I know I will have to try these for myself so I guess the big question is - do all of the batteries listed support all of these clearos? Ideally I would like both my batteries to support all of the common clearo types of thread (are there only 2 main ones?) Sorry I'm a bit woolly on that - looking at the product descriptions for the clearos gives all sorts of good info but usually not thread type) At the moment am tending towards the mvp2 or vv3 as my main and backup vv3, ego twist or vision spinner. Thanks babs for pointing out that the twist is difficult to read - I've got to the stage where I have to peer at almost everything even when I've found my reading glasses! So maybe not the twist! Ok revised list: main : mvp2 or vv3 backup: vv3 or spinner If I've read it correctly the mvp2 can support the iclears and the protank no problem; I think this is true of the spinner too? vv3 only does iclears? Thank you again for your mighty patience

vv3, MVP and spinner can handle the lot. That's the nice thing about vaping gear. Most everything of decent make is compatible in some way or other. When it's not, like in the case of the VTR, you'd need a wee adapter piece for a couple of quid if you wanted the tank to sit snug. So either way, not a big deal and doable.

thanks newdawn - that really helps nail it down as a viable list. Just need to eliminate one more now - the mvp2 is staying for final consideration for sure. Just need to choose between the vv3 and spinner. VV3 ahead on visibility of settings; Spinner ahead on mAh.... hmmm... more browsing inbound!

Just a thought dhansak, the MVP2 comes with it's own charger. I don't know, and I'm sure someone who has one will be along to confirm, but as the VV3 is also an iTaste pass-through device (means you can use whilst it's charging) I would imagine that it would also come with it's own charger, and I would also hazard a guess that they would be interchangeable between both devices??? Anyone confirm? You then just need a wall plug USB adapter thing, which you probably have already for phone/tablet/mp3 player type devices?

The iclear 30 range can get quite confusing. There are 3 versions the iclear30, the iclear30s and the iclear30b. They all look pretty similar from the outside but the replacement wicks/heads are completly incompatable. The iclear30 is just a bigger version of the iclear16 - to add more confusion the wicks in the iclear 16and iclear30 are interchangable! The iclear30s has its wick encased in a metal tube and gives a slightly less warm vape. The iclear30b is the new kid on the block and gives a cool vape.

Hi lairey - good point! Yes I do have a usb wallcharger for my phone that I assume I could use with the MVP2; though I do have a powered usb hub that i would prob use more often - or would that take far too long to recharge? The vv3 kit on meyepack does come with a usb cable but for £10 less (as just battery not kit) comes without one from Innovapours (though you can buy one for another £2.50) As you say it would be good to know if the usb charging cable format is common across the mvp2, vv3 and spinner
SpiceOfLife - yikes - thanks for the heads up on this one! I had wrongly assumed all iclears were the same i.e warm vapes.... will make sure I stick to the 16 or straight 30 on whatever my first purchase is on the warm vape front

The MVP2 can be charged by MOST phone chargers (Samsung, newer Nokias etc.) and the USB charger supplied can be used via an adaptor in Cig lighter of a Car. The iClear 30 and 30s hold 3mls of juice, the iClear 16 1.6ml of juice. I've used the iClear since I started Vaping and I like their stuff. I've got a Bottom Coil Tank as well, but it's Vape is a bit cool for me.The MVP2 has a Digital display to show Watts and Volts, it's a VERY robust item (I take mine with me everywhere and drop it, bang it and generally abuse it) sits upright on a flat surface (helps it not to leak) and lasts all day on a charge, it's a passthrough, so you can Vape when it's charging and VV/VW is a must for me, I increase and lower throughout the day.

I use my phone charger for my vv3 and keepitgoin has answered the MVP charging question, so it sounds to me like both can be charged with the same charger as well as some usb phone chargers. No idea about the spinner though, sorry.
