2 of my friends who have been vaping about 4 months are getting spots ! Like bumps that don't come to a head , on their face ,neck and in their hair! Could it be some kind of allergy ? They are quite concerned but don't want to stop vaping , strange how it's just started and they both have different juices , could it be pg or vg reaction ? Puzzled ! I've not had any problems

They are 4 months into vaping so it's unlikely to be vaping, not impossible, just unlikely.
The only way to tell is by having an allergy test at their doctors first and/or by elimination of other things, they could start with vaping, say switching to VG only mixes if they think it's that.

I suggested changing to vg only , would have thought if it was an allergy to pg it would have shown before now though , mysterious !

I had exactly that problem after vaping for around 6 months, suddenly just appeared. The spots and scratching spread just about everywhere and was sending me nuts. Started on the face and in the scalp, terrible it was. I switched to 100% VG or near as damn it 100% - you can't get exactly 100% due to the flavouring being in PG, yet to find flavoured concentrates in VG!!! Anyhow, changing to VG eventually stopped all the spots and scratching - heaven. It does take a while to get out of your system though. I put mine down to PG intolerance as it cleared up via using mainly VG

I had an allergic reaction to PG after 18months of vaping . . . so it doesn't always surface in the first few weeks/months. If it is that jaysey, at least your friends won't have acquired a stock pile of eliquid that won't be any good to them. Unlike others I can think of.

I am having similar problems, I can't stop scratching my head, I feel lousy, no I don't have nits or lice but it really drives me mad. I did at some point get raised lumps on my scalp but that cleared up.I put that down to vaping at %50/50 GVC. I have been vaping at 60/40 on and off for a few weeks now, and stock piled up with it, will have to put that to one side now if that is causing the problem, and go back to 70/30. I keep forgetting to ask the vendors what the % rate is for their liquids, just found out one of them is 80/20.

Noooo, 70/30 is 70PG 30VG, you need to go the other way round if you want to cut down on the PG. More VG than PG was my answer to those itchy spots and lumps, as near to 100% VG as possible Phoenix .

Could just be a simple body change, there is a lot of toxins flushing out of their system, quitting smoking is a shock to the body/system and all kinda things can happen.
Give it time and am sure it will fade away as the body adjusts.

Super-Shiny if you could have seen the state of me by the time those spots and lumps had spread throughout most of my body you would have thought I'd got the dreaded lurgy, it was awful just to look at let alone having to deal with all the scratching and what that leaves behind as well By the time it got to that stage I was pretty desperate to sort something out as you can imagine. I'd tried antihistamines which didn't work, antibiotic cream didn't work either and I was at my witts end with it all, till I switched to mainly VG, that was the only thing that worked

Could be toots VG worked for you as it seems it did, but it may not work for others but saying that it's worth a try, process of elimination as with all things in life.

Allergies/sensitivities can take a time to develope though Phoenix . . . . mine did after 18 months of vaping. Keeping to a VG heavy nix, where the only PG is in the flavouring, keeps it under control more or less for me.
