Yes and that would be fab, would love that, thanks Cushty, I've put in my diary. I'll bring a full coiling kit. I may get Alan to tell others. It was very important to me to have a "hands on" demo beforeI started coiling. I would like to offer a recoiling service at the meets, but I have nightmares of 30 people turning up with 10 coils each. How is a man meant to pissed under them circumstances. If you think it may be for you, I'll give you some wire to get you started and book you in to lead the next tutorial 6 weeks from then. Great stuff, looking forward to it, thank you.

How long do people find their CW wicks last in a microcoil please? Should I consider rewicking after 5 days? A quick dry burn to degunk the coil would be in order too, of course!

Only been 10 days, but been changing as needed in trident rda and guess every one to two days... but generally as let it get too dry. In protank mini been fine 3 days and counting. Very easy to change CW though so carry some with me.

Thanks boyofford, I think I'll whip out the old wick when the tank is run down and give it a burn and some new CW for the weekend vaping festivities!

I think about 5-7 days depending on use. I use 3 Protanks in rotation, so wait until it doesn't vape right and have a look. I can't keep track of which ones need wicking and which need coiling, so I coil the lot.

Lasts as long as any other wick IMHO.
Boots Baby 100% cotton balls £1.65 for 200. That's 0.825 pence per ball and you can get at least 10 wicks per ball.
At 10+ wicks for less than a penny I change them all every time my dog farts.

Well the 100% cotton ones are made of 100% cotton so in that sense yes. I'm researching the processing and haven't found anything too scary yet, but they are tested on babies!

That did occur to me, but first cotton wool I used was for babies and had a horrible taste when approaching half dry, not burnt, just chemically. But then I've been to lazy to boil n dry, maybe ok if done that. Organic stuff on other hand is fine.... maybe just a case of brands. do you boil first?

boyofford, I haven't boiled any yet but maybe I will start. Whatever you use bear in mind that only organic and 100% cotton balls are 100% cotton. Many makeup remover pads and some 'cotton balls' are made from Rayon, you don't want to inhale that!

Went to two boots and this was last of organic cotton stuff they had, does say 100% cotton, superdrug didn't have any either, must be lot more vapers about than I realised! To be honest they are much more of a pain to make wickes out of, tend to break up more, will order some off shinys link in the microcoil thread I think.
