snake oil mix?

anyone tried to do a diy of snake oil?

i get citrus, anise, hint of menthol, someone mentioned pear....any thoughts?

There are a few snake oil clone recipes here.

Most seem to be made with pear, Bavarian cream and coconut.

Ooh. That sounds nice. Where can I get the original? Or are the clones close enough?

I've never tried snake oil so can't comment on how accurate any clone is (haven't tried those yet either!).

I'm pretty sure that there's strawberry involved, and I seem to recall someone else picked that up, too, though I can't remember who or when.

(edit: I've just followed the link to the clone recipes, and they *have to be* clones of some other "Snake Oil". Bavarian Cream, Pear and Coconut sounds like a promising combination, but there's no way in the world they would taste anything like T-Max's Snake Oil - which is the one the OP was referring to, and the one I was talking about when I mentioned strawberry)

Indeed it seems there's an American snake oil: www.seducejuice.com/Snake_Oil.html -> this sounds much more like the original of the above clones!

Absolutely, I have mixed up a couple of different snake oil clone recipes that are without doubt, clones of the seduce juice... they are both delicious, but are worlds away from tmax/dr stanley's snake oil.  I have some tmax which I love, but am away from home so can't comment right now on what I think might be in it

The snake oil mix I have is anise menthol lemon Spumante sweet strawberry not sure how much like the orginal it is though
