Super-Shiny's second mod build

[Super-Shiny]

Here we go again

New box mod features:

• DNA20D board by Evolv
  

• 7 too 20 watts
• Digital display
  

• 2100mah Sony 30A High Discharge Flat Top Battery (or higher)

• Top base with airflow control for certain atomizers

• Removable top base so if the center pin fails you will be able to remove the base and de-solder the 510 center pin and re-connect a new base and just screw back in, no need to take the mod apart for fixing

• Dimensions: Height: 89mm - Width 35mm - Depth 30mm

• Brushed aluminum finish with protection

• USB charging

should get yourself a little soldering station mate, they're well worth it, the cheaper soldering irons don't last two minutes.

I had look at the Hakko and Weller soldering stations but thought if my previous one can make a mod than this one will be better, if i was making them for a living than i would no doubt by a soldering station but for now and again making a mod this will do, it's only for the DNA20 board.

Maybe one day, who knows.

Funny you should link that Mev i was looking at that today, just could not bring myself to buy it as i am a bit skint atm, but have bookmarked it for future use.

Do also like that it has presets.

OMG, the outer box and other things arrived today, even though i knew the dimensions of the box having it my hand makes me realize how small this thing really is, been hard at work cutting and shaping all kinda things to see if they fit.

All i can say is "NIGHTMARE" but fun, got the battery holder fitting snug after some surgery, 510 connector is more than snug after major surgery.

There is not 1mm room for error with this one, it's gonna be very tight indeed.....thinking way way ahead is a must with this one.

I ain't going down the DNA30 route, such a new thing that i will wait for others to test it over the months just in case of problems.

Besides the only real difference is the wattage of what i have read so far and 20 watts is easily high enough.

Looking forward to this, your last build was very impressive.

I do radio controlled model ( read toy ) aircraft and buy a lot of stuff from Hobbyking they do a huge range of lipo batt's at very low prices might be worth a look if space is a premium concern.
