Thanks to everyone for all the advice in my very first post managed ten days so far and am loving not having to think about rolling tin fulls of fags , smelling like an ash tray , always loosing my lighters , getting ash face when driving with the window open, getting soaked out in the rain and mostly not spending a fortune (although i want alot of shiny ecig stuff now!) I managed to find a little vaping place by me and got showed evod tanks , protanks , iclears and a t3s and how to change the coils . I came away with a T3s tank and spare coil and a new flavour . I got to try a vision spinner (however i didnt see as there was much difference? ) so i didnt come away with it as i just wasnt sure ?? So my kit consists of an eGo 650 battery and a 900 battery , some cheaper throw away Ce4 tanks (which i will use to try flavours , i still dont understand what kit i need to drip trip 1.5 ml flavours ) a T3s tank and spare coil and a shiney protank mini 2 should be arriving tomorrow . want to get some iclear 16's as i see what people mean when they say bottom coils make a cooler vape . not sure if i like ? but will see . Now i just need to find some flavours that give me a decent throat hit with 18mg nicotine . Can anyone explain what the small holes are at the bottom of the t3s's ? i covered two of them and and tried covering three (dont do that as as soon as you let go it shoots the vape into your mouth haha! ) And variable voltage, didnt think i could tell the difference , but im not too sure ? apart from when i turned it right up and it tasted horrible ! any more tips much appreciated Heres my kit

Congrats on staying of the stinkies and sounds like your comimg on nicley into the vaping world. The holes at the bottom of the t3s are air holes on some tanks they are on the side, some have them under neath, sounds like youve been eexperimenting with variable airflow on it lol. As for flavours everyomes taste and idea of a good throat hit is different. Experimenting with different vendors and ratios will givemyou an idea.
as a rule more pg = throat hit more vg = more vapour
Hope this helps steve

If fixed voltage works for you that's cool. The ideal volts varies with the resistance of your atty, and even with the same res it varies with the length of drag that you take, and also can vary between juices. It sounds like what you have suits you. But if you find a new atty or a new juice too strong or too weak then it may be worth thinking again about variable volts. on the 10 days

that's a great achievement law...so pleased the standard ego seems to work for you. The difference with a vv is you can alter it to whatever juice you are using. Some juices if the vv is too high will taste burnt, so just turn it down. On the opposite side some juices are a bit tasteless so you would turn it up. Every juice has a sweet spot...vv batteries help you find it. Like you though I managed with the basic ego. About 3-4 months in I switched to vv. so when your tempted to get into something else a little down the line, give them another try. Well done though for getting this far

If your after iclear16 and fancy a vv or vw device, you could do a lot worse than this myepack.co.uk/kits/itaste-vv-v3-o.html5x iclear16 dual coil clearomiser and a vv vw battery with display. I have that kit and its superb. be careful with liquids on the iclear though.

lawWell done, About those holes in the base, they are for airflow... if you find the draw a little too airy, just block one off and you will see the difference. As to your kit, if it ain't broke don't fix it...be happy and just enjoy your experience of vaping. Progress only when you feel ready and that way you can avoid wasting cash on stuff you will never use.

Great news Law glad your start into vaping is going smoothly. Well Done! Theres no reason why you cant go along nicely on gear you have. I use pretty much the same, just a spinner battery and iclear16 when i'm out in my car. Mainly so I can attach a lanyard and have e-ciggie dangling around my neck! No fumbling when driving As far as throat hit goes, I found it important when I first quit smoking, but after a month or so I didn't need or want it. For now keep your pg ratio higher (for throat hit) and any juice with some menthol in seems to give a nice kick but don't buy in bulk as I went off some of my favourite flavours as my taste buds kicked back into action, so just buy in 10mls amounts for now, I'd suggest

I'm calling 911 cos Pepperty is talking a lot of sense LOL Yeah great news on the 10 days law. Like others have said -if it 'aint broke don't fix it I'm quite happy on fixed voltage so there's no shame in it. Sometimes I delve into the realms of VV but not for long Congrats and enjoy

Thanks for the responses I will be putting a shopping list together ready for pay day Thursday . In terms of a spinner or a twist , which one is better out the two ? As much as I want an I taste gonna hold off a little to see how I go with a vv first . Thanks for the link re dripping , it baffles me a little can you buy the atty and tip together ? And how do you clean that to test flavours ? As that's all I want it for as it kind of vexes me to fill a whole tank incase I don't like the flavour as I have found win a couple x

law you may find that the iTaste kit at £30 from myepack linked to earlier would be the best compromise financially, as you get the 5 iClear16s in it, and for only £2 postage. By the time you get a twist/spinner and a couple of iClears separately, with postage, there won't be a lot in it shop well but carefully

Aaaah I see , I just heard a few bad things about the itaste not being as good ? And a few tech issues with it ? Just watched a few vids on 306 atty drip tip , what battery size can you use that on ? I have a 900 and a 650 ego style ?

thanks gunjacks , it confused me a little bit as i thought you had to get a specific battery else you can fry it or something . Its something i would be interested to try so as i can test the smaller bottles of flavours from rainbowsmoke or something . I got about 5 flavours the other day , filled the 5 tanks (only used disposable ce4 ones that arent rebuildable) and felt gutted as i dont like 4 of the flavours . thats why im not sure i want to buy iclears when testing new flavours out incase they arent right if that makes sense ?
