I apologize if this question has been asked before. never been good at searching anyway I am a Stoned cold newbie here to vaping and am hooked.. I have been using what are just straight atomizers and a battery. what I have been noticing is that I jump start the vaper take a couple of short pulls off the puppy then take that rich hit. Does this mean I need to search out a varying voltage device so I don't need to do this or is it just something I will have to adjust to moving from cigs to vaping?? I have used juices of both VG and VG along with mixes.. still do the jump start..
Suggestions.. comments???
Thanks

Welcome to you Airwreck. Either a Twist or a Spinner are a perfect way of testing the Variable Voltage waters, Sadie at @sadie22 has a great selection . . . www.ukecigcabin.com/

even with vari voltage, y ou may find you still have to "kick" on an e-cig, because it is different to smoking, you'll get used to it Perpetua I'm not sure sadie will post as far as Barbados

Perpetua I'm not sure sadie will post as far as Barbados True, she would probably rather deliver it personally GJ. Thanks for the lead and info.. Will doing this cause the filament to burn out quicker?? Not necessarily, it depends on the rating/ohms of your coil head Airwreck and using a power setting that's within its tolerances.

I still do that, couple of short puffs then larger one. Think its just habit for me know to be honest.
Worth trying out varable voltage or wattage anyhow as can increase amount of vape to suit, but you might still have the habit as I do... Even when using my dripper that definetly doesn't need it.

AirwreckI use VV at fairly high power, and still like to fire it up a bit before I take the main drag. If doing it the way you do irritates you, you could try vv, but if you are enjoying it, why bother? In my experience it isn't the filaments that burn, it is the juice, which then leaves gunk over the filament and ruins it that way. Which happens more if you can turn it up too far. Depending on your atomiser you can clean it and fix it that way. What are your "straight atomisers"?

What are your "straight atomisers"? Its an Ego C with a pretty standard atomizer.. since then have gotten a new cartimizer and can see that it was old hardware that was given to me as the intro.. Since then I have gotten a new ego C + and its working a whole lot better .. still have to do a little jump start but that seems to be just the habit.. not really a worry I still do that, couple of short puffs then larger one. Even when using my dripper that definetly doesn't need it. Humm now thats a new term Dripper...do tell??? get a VV/Vw device, unfortunatly they are not petite to some VV ones,VW is the way to go Is that a Typo or what VW cuz the only one I knew of was the car I drove back in High school...had a spare engine in the back.. Thank you all

I think you would enjoy a protank, iclear16 or evod a whole lot more - my advice would be to get one of those first and think about variable volts later. I suspect you got the Ego C+ from Totally Wicked and their equipment isn't rated highly here either, although some of their juices are reckoned pretty good.

A dripper is like a heating coil without a tank or anything else which holds much juice, so you put a few drips on it, take a few puffs, then put a few more drips on. The vape is usually very good but obviously they are more hassle to use.get a VV/Vw device, unfortunatly they are not petite to some VV ones,VW is the way to go Is that a Typo or what VW cuz the only one I knew of was the car I drove back in High school...had a spare engine in the back.. ROFL VW is Variable Watts - does the same thing as VV really, but is a little easier to use. Thank you all

We get things from whom ever will ship to where I am..My wife has been having a tendency to get things from the UK.. I tend to get things from the US
I can see that a dripper is out of the question.. Sure wouldn't see doing that in the middle of a field while working my Honeybees.
Grin .. well now you can hear some positive things about the Ego C+ with the arrival of the new hardware things have improved greatly.. I now know it was due to second hand hardware some of my wanks from before..As to one seller makes a better one then another.. Well if you really start to dig deep you find that all this stuff come out of China.. and then digging even deeper its made by 3 or 4 different CO in China, I will agree that a clearomizer seems to work better than a straight atomizer but I didn't know this when I made the first order of hardware..These are the things that happen when you first start anything new.
Then just when I get an answer about the VW variable wattage someone comes along and adds the SVD... geesh has anyone written an abbreviation sheet.. LoL
Many Thanks

Airwreck - actually, yes!! Click Here to see the Beginners Thread which giles has helpfully put together, it should answer a few of your questions. The SVD is a VV/VW mod with lots of built-in electronics which protect and assist you in your quest for a great vape - here's one from one of our UK top vendors.
