Kayfun was a revelation for me. I'd tried Genesis-style RBAs and hated them. Now it's a pleasure to rebuild once a week.

I have done a lot of reading about Kayfuns in the last few weeks and the overwhelming consensus of opinion seems to be that they are the best all rounder so I don't see the point of complicating things. I will still use other tanks now and again. I have my new Titanide Thermis 14 which would look ridiculous with a Kayfun on it. I have the matching tank for that, so when I am out socialising and want a bit of elegance I shall use that, but Kayfun will be my day to day out and about choice.

I'm the same in that I only want to use tanks that work with the same sort of microcoil/cotton build - taifun GT and fogger are the same sort of deck, so they're easy to coil. My taifun gs is similar but a bit different, and I'll try a spheroid one day because of the rave reviews. That is, until the next big thing comes along... Whats the best thing to use a Kayfun on Dolly? Not that I am thinking of buying one ...until March anyway. A kayfun will work on anything, but is 22mm diameter so will look neatest on a 22mm mod - the nemesis is my preferred partner of choice, but it works on everything I own. The MVP looks a little strange with it, but I quite like it!

I have seen a few of the lads at our meet ups with that set up and it looks very neat and tidy. Saying that, it looks ok on my Vamo too. It's definitely better on the larger diameter mods.

I have managed to recoil my wifes vivi nova but when i try the protank coils it always tastes of accrid burning. Clicked liked, because of your avatar. Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse under Bates.

Thing with rebuildables (at least in my experience) is that the end result is worth the endless hours of faffing.
it doesnt have to be complicated.A simple microcoil with cotton is about as easy as it gets and gives an outstanding vape!!
Problem is, once you have one, you soon find another one lurking in the basket waiting to be ordered.. its addictive!!

Problem is, once you have one, you soon find another one lurking in the basket waiting to be ordered.. its addictive!! In my experience, they're not worth the effort. I'm not saying that I'm right and you're wrong, just that rebuilding doesn't suit everyone. I'm sure that lots of people find building a microcoil easy, but I certainly don't. I've watched videos, read tutorials and practised, but ultimately found that it was just too much faff for me. I hate faffing and I'm quite satisfied with the vape I can get from my clearos and carto tanks, so I see no reason to do something that I find incredibly frustrating. There's no correct answer to the question "are rebuildables worth the effort?" Some people like the convenience of regulated devices, others prefer mechs. Some people buy their juice pre-mixed and others like to mix their own. It's just down to what suits each individual, and that applies to clearos and atties too.

Well speaking for myself, (because no other bugger will ) Been vaping for some considerable time and hope to continue. I have tried numerous mods both rergulated an mech, rba's of all descriptions and of course clearos. Now all I want is to be able to throw my juice in, screw on a power supply and get my Nicotine fix with the minimum of fuss. Flavour is subjective as is appearance what ever works for one person does'nt work for others. Use whatever you want how you want but above all, Enjoy!!

Very smooth with stronger flavour.

I'm so happy that Mr Dolly stepped up to the plate (very well done him) and enabled Blownupdolly to get the same feeling lots of know when you vape something and its like this is what I wanted all the time, brilliant. IMO don't rush to try the next/better thing, enjoy the moment, that thing will probably be better when you feel curious, if you ever do. They are so cheap to re-wick and re coil . I have a built in dislike for waste replacing the whole or substantial part of an item that is essentially a consumable EG portable electronics with built in batteries, filter coffee in plastic one serving nonsense,... opps going off topic For you doubters it pays off, with cotton + micro coils: the coil is not too challenging and they last for ages (many weeks) and the wicks are less than a penny. (Still prefer my genesises, but Kayfuns are more than good enough to keep me off smellys for life)

I was a bit worried they would only last a couple of days. Oh well, a big bonus then!!

I change the cotton every other tank. It's simple to gently pull the cotton out, make a new wrap of cotton wool, poke it through the coil, wet with juice and reassemble - it takes a couple of minutes. It's best to dry burn the coil before you rewick as well, especially if you are vaping sweet juices.
