Thanks everyone.
I've ordered the smokymizers and some Kanger LR carto's from Jason and I'll see how it goes.
I've also just tried a new boge lr carto and it was alot better, I'm guessing the other ones I was using were starting to get bunged up. So I've started on a cleaning tryout with them.

Womble, I know some folks seem to be able to keep cartomisers going for weeks, but IMHO, they start to deteriorate after a couple of days for the Boge's & about a week for the dual coils.

Womble, I know some folks seem to be able to keep cartomisers going for weeks, but IMHO, they start to deteriorate after a couple of days for the Boge's & about a week for the dual coils. That could be what it is, certainly made a difference with a new one. Thanks Chrissie, it's all a steep learning curve tbh I've cleaned out some old ones with juice in I wasn't keen on, so I'll see how they do. I did have a problem yesterday which I'm a bit unsure about. I filled a new Boge LR with alot of juice, did the swinging of your arm like clearing an old thermometer and it sucked up LOADS and I mean loads, never seen anything like it. Blew it out and there is almost no vapour, no feeling of anything happening. Tried for a while and got a tiny amount of vapour out, but that's all. The air draws through it OK. Is it possible to overfill a cartomizer? I'm a bit annoyed because it sucked up loads of juice, although my g-wiz came from Jason this morning (cheers bud) so I may be able to swing it out from the seemingly knackered carto. Any thoughts?

Hi Womble if you overfill and flood the coil you will get a gurgling when you draw on the carto. you can clear it out by blowing from battery end.
if its just poor vapour production and you dont even get that crackling and popping sound then you may have dry pockets in the cartos filler... if i get them i use the 'condom' method to fill the carto
you could also pop the cartos in the freezer overnight to see if that revives them ...good luck

I did fill it using the condom method, but the swinging arm bit, like the grizwiz I suppose, let me put alot more in. It wasn't gurgling, I have noticed that before, I'm not exactly a pro yet, but I am getting more used to filling them properly.
I've just used the same method to fill another this morning and it's fine, no way could it have had dried pockets, I literally filled it to the rbrim.
If it is a faulty carto, then it's the only one out of 12 I've tried so far.

Womble, I had one carto like that. I got a fine needle & just pressed it into the wadding (from the mouth piece end) several times. I think it had been packed too tight at the factory?

The good news is that for some reason the atomizers just started working. Call me an optimist, but I have a growing pile of eliquids and didn't want to keep filling carto's, so I gave the atomizers another go. The bad news is that I now have vaped too many flavours and feel a bit lightheaded.
