Hi Peeps I'm just wondering why people switched to E-Cigs from analogs? Mine was health i smoked 15-20 analogs a day i had chronic achillies tendonitis & had a cyst on one of them so i needed an op to remove cyst & do an achillies decompression. All went well until they removed stitches & wound burst open i had to spend a week in hospital. At this point they explained to me that blood supply to achillies was very poor & that smoking would definately make healing a problem combined with this & being in a ward where people had had legs amputated purely due to smoking i decided there & then that to have another analog would be pure stupidity ??? so i quit when i got home i did a bit of research on PC & here i am almost 3 weeks into vaping & dont want an analog at all! so glad i found my E-Cig!!

I saw a 40+ a day fellow worker using a tornado tank and thought if he can do then so can i .That was 6 months ago and i have not had a fag since .Its has become a bit of a hobby buying variable voltage devices and different atomisers but i have kinda settled now on just a few devices and i would say that i have managed to cut down from 24mg to 10 mg with the help of these v v e cigs .The world of e cigs is moving at a fast pace with new devices coming out all the time.In also went through a spell of trying out loads of different flavourings but now its just 2 i tend to use all the time .

I saw a news report about e cigs which sparked my interest, I love gadgets. I didn't really want to stop smoking but ended up switching right away. I feel a lot better and don't miss the smell, taste, stains, etc of real ciggies although I am not an anti smoker. I feel that e cigs are a much better way of getting the kick that nicotine gave me. Congrats to you on 3 weeks!

I haven't fully made the switch just yet although i have been vapeing a couple of months now. My main reason is i am asthmatic and the last few winters have gradually got worse for me,my GP tells me that my asthma won't be manageable in a few years, i will have copd, so it quite frightened me..............but not enough to make that final jump and get rid of the nasties completely, although i enjoy vapeing, if i'm honest i still enjoy a fag more :-[ Think i must be the oddbod (no reply necessary thank you Jason, blakey or river) as everyone else seems to make the transition very easily.

A friend of mine took 3 months to fully move over to vaping Nicky and that's with me trying every combination of device/liquid/accessory on him, so don't worry.
What he has said to me since though is that he feels he should have been a bit more commited and now realises that he would often take the easy route of just having a cig rather than 'faffing' with the e-cigs.
If you weren't so far away, I would spend an hour with you and iron out your problems with carto's etc.
Perhaps, if there is someone else in your area, that may help?

Hey, I wanted to switch because I believed I could still have the pleasure without most of the harms! I started vaping in March and never touched a ciggy until August when my device broke on me during vacations! The d@mn Provari hadn't arrive yet so I had a couple packets! I admit I have the odd cigarette habit (once every 2/3weeks I smoke a cig) and I find it very helpdul to remind me how vaping feels so much better!

Never intended to stop, EVER , just kept seeing these e-cigs in bexleyheath and one day thought I'd give them a try to see what all the fuss was about. From that I found that I was smoking less and less cigarettes, then I got over charged one day on my cartos and pee'd off with that supplier I went foraging on line and found this place. That's story 1 Story 2 Jason's mum called me and said that poor river was struggling to keep the payments on Jason's yacht, mansion, helicopter and fleet of cars all by his self and would I be a good boy and help out, well I like river so how could I refuse?

Thanks for that jason, i have to say out of the two samples you sent me the shade is still a bit strong with the 7 leaves being much better, probably one of the best i have had up to now, far better than the Winson i originally got - seriously cannot stomach that one anymore, so up to now there is only that one and the Cinnamon i like - but that burns so not been using that recently, anything else along these lines you think i may find suitable?

Mostly cos of hubby's nagging lol I knew it wasn;t good for me and would have to make the "Quit" leap sooner rather than later, and theres only so many conversations you can ignore. So we made a deal, get the house move out of the way then I'll order a kit and give it a try. No intention of giving up smoking and because of this I knew that gum or patches would never work, because I'd failed them in my mind already. I spoke with a friend of mine in the states, and he made the switch at xmas and couldn't speak more highly of e-cigs. His smoking habits were very similar to mine, so I figured if he could do it so could I Did some googling, found this place, and I've been a happy camper ever since It took about a week to make the switch totally, but from day 1 with the e-cig the amount of analogues dropped to half each day Couldn't of done it without the help and advice i recieved from these guys!

I too switched for health reasons, although not because of a particular condition, just to improve my health. I did smoke about 1/4 to 1/2 an ounce of tobacco per day, the tobacco I used was of the flavoured varieties so vaping was an easy transition for me. I have been aware of e cigs for about 2 1/2 years but they used to be much pricier - it wasn't until a friend started using them and I looked again that I noticed there was much more variety available and the prices had plummetted that I decided to take the plunge myself. Haven't looked back since receiving my first kit and haven't so far smoked any analogs. The money I have saved from it has gone into buying components and playing around making mods, I haven't bought mods yet myself and have been content to build what I use. However there are so many lovely things I would like and my self control is slowly slipping. The mods then pay for a large part of my juice and attys so it's worked out rather nicely.

anything else along these lines you think i may find suitable? A few of the Flavourart ones are pretty smooth Nicky, including Royal, Mellow Sunset and USA Mix. Also, the ones I sent you were Medium strength so you could try reducing the 7 Leaves a bit with some glycerine and if that's any better, then go for a lower strength.

i had tried everything to stop or to cut down but nothing worked for me. Then a friend at our caravan site had the "fag lookalike" after half a day on that i knew it was for me.like most people i have tried several PVs and have not touched a analogue since. i was smoking 50 rollies a day and i knew my health was suffering, smokers cough for 2 years, always out of breath and constantly removing the brown stains from fingers. Now i can run round with my son and i feel so much better and my cough has completely gone. And with the help and support of people on this site have made some "friends for life" which is a added bonus,

I gave up smoking 2.5 years ago. But I've been quite ill the last 6 months and all I could think about was smoking, when I spent a month in hospital everyone and there aunt smoked I'd find myself sitting outside near to people smoking and inhaling there second hand smoke. It was getting bad and I was obsessed. Then I walked into my local chemist in Catford and they had disposable e-cigs which I lapped up, but was proving really expensive. So I bought myself a rechargeable e-cig still not much cop but better than the disposable. I started to search online and came across the other e-cig forum but they where mostly US based and felt outta touch, but thank heavens Chrissie found me learking and said come on over to the all about and tbh I've not looked back the other members here are so kind and helpful and thanks to all them I'll never need to smoke again Thanks guys Natzx

I'd browsed ecigs for a while on eBay, thinking they were just another fad. I was out at a car boot sale one day and saw a cheap kit, I bought it and haven't looked back since. I never wanted to give up smoking and financially I'm not much better off, (tobacco from abroad in bulk, papers and tips in bulk from the car boot,) but health wise I'm much better off. I tried a few drags of an analogue on holiday last year and hated it! Not looked back since
