For those who dry burn ther microcoils what do use to clean the gunk off if any left. I was thinking you could use those interdental brushes but with metal bristles rather than nylon, I've seen metal ones but don't seem to be able to locate any. Anyoe got them or an alternative method ?

To be honest Greg I never bother - a quick dry burn to get the coils glowing a bit, and then rewick if required and fill 'er up and go. I think Fasttech do little brushes, but that's too much faffing about as far as I'm concerned. If the coil is that gunked, I'll pop a new one on!

That's what I do but sometimes get some black gunk falling off, just thought if I had a little brush I could clean upside down. I was hoping for a uk supplier as I really can't be bothered with fasttech.

Brushes for dentures tend to be a bit more robust than an ordinary toothbrush Greg . . . Superdrug/Boots etc should stock them.

I was looking to get some of those little interdental brushes but they all seem to be nylon coated wire rather than just wire. I seen pbusardo using wire ones but haven't tracked any down yet.

Dry burning @ 15w seems to do the trick. Giving it a good blow as its glowing red-hot. Then I just use a long cotton wick, pulling it through about 1/2 inch extra, removing the crud from the inside, and trim to correct size Would pipe-cleaners not be what you're after?

Yes maybe your right, I may try the interdental brushes but just let the coil cool a little first.
