Forecast for 75mph winds again, and having just driven back from Truro after a gig, I can confirm that indeed the heavens have emptied themselves on us yet again - way too much surface water in places, and big 30cm-deep puddles on the tops of hills!!

To the people in Cornwall... I think you will be happy to know there will be a new vape shop opening soon in Truro in April this year. More details coming soon.

Hello vapebird - it sounds like you are a vendor? Please read your welcome PM & apply for vendor status. chykensa it's getting very worrying isn't it? Even on high ground & away from the coastal tidal surges, the ground is saturated - hence so many trees down everywhere.

It is a very worrying time for you all, which I don't think people in other areas are understanding too much. I wish you all well, I have seen it and I do understand.

Thank you sammy13 My heart goes out to everyone that has been flooded & has had storm damage. Water is a terrible thing, even when it has dried the smell is still there.

Still very windy this morning. I thought my daughters bedroom window was going to blow in last night the wind hitting it was horrendous.
Thankfully no storm damage over than a fence panel down.
Hope everyone else is as lucky with only very minor damage.
I think people on the Somerset levels have it alot worse, my heart goes out to all the farmers and everyone else. 6 weeks under water is way beyond a joke.

We're fortunate this morning as the wind is Northeast, and although gusting to Storm Force 10, we are sheltered by next door (we're semi-detached), so the wind is whistling past us rather than blowing on the house itself. I've lost 3 panes of glass from my greenhouse, so no great shakes there. Really feel for people living near the coast; although the tides are heading towards neaps now, so water levels lower, this is all a bit academic with 65-70 mph gales behind the waves. Stay safe everyone

Our power flickering from time to time, but wind backing to W, and on to WNW later today. This is good for us as we are sheltered by a whacking great hill, but not so good for zeldamum as her back elevation has far-reaching views to the NW, so will get the full fury of the wind. Waves off Land's End averaging 35' and wind forecast to gust to 60-70 mph for the rest of the day. Weather heads might be interested in this site Surf Hog - click Refresh to get a blow by blow account (see what I did there?!) of what we are getting, and what the rest of you are due for soon!

We had a thunderstorm here (just to add to the wind & rain) a couple of hours ago.

Getting right good battering chykensa. The ex came to pick up the children and parked his car by the side of my shop. He could barely stand up the wind was so strong, sleet coming in sideways. More heavy wind due over night and tomorrow!

Yep, but the good news is that the swells are only 30' out at the Seven Stones Buoy now!! Still winds in excess of 50 mph. Hope Chrissie and zeldamum haven't suffered any structural damage - I have to go out in an hour to pick up my daughter from work, and I'm not looking forward to that one bit!!
