Hi, I just switched from a standard ego battery setup to a VV/VW eMax battery and a ce4/iClear16 to a kanger aerotankk. And the difference is night and day. So I'm thinking I need another VW battery as I am not getting a great time from the eMax 1300mah at 9.5 watts. I've done a bit of research and the two batteries I prefer on looks alone are the eVic and the itaste 304. Both look smexy as hell to me. I saw a battery (something 650?) at 3400mah which seems like it would last a fair amount of time to me. The iTaste looks like the dogs danglies but the evic has a load of features I like - mainly the info on screen by default. Is there an advantage in one over the other or is there a third option ( like the e-huge ) that does all they can and more? And can anyone recommend the cheapest place to buy any of them? Not only am I Scottish I'm poor as well.

Hi satanswombat, have you thought about the Innokin SVD or the Innokin MVP? you can check them both out at myepack. They have the best prices and good stuff. The MVP has a built in battery, and lasts for ages without a charge.

But I want a lightsaber **pouts** For some reason box mods really don't float my boat looks wise. Can the SVD also use the 3400mah batteries? The speed I vape through a charge is the only thing I don't like much with the eMax - well that and I cannot, for the life of me, work out how to keep vaping once it starts telling me I have 30% charge left. ???

My Evic lasted about 5 months and 26,000 puffs. (The Joyetech warranty does not cover wiring failure, which is 95% of problems) Is that 170 puffs per day? If you can afford for it to keel over and die, get an Evic. I loved it. I could have bought a Vamo, an MVP and a SID for the same money. Which is exactly what I did.

I don't have either an evic or an itaste 34, but I think the evic is limited to 11 watts, and the itaste to 12.5. Which would be fine for most people, but if 9.5 isn't enough for you, maybe you should go for something with 15 watts (vamo, SVD). Or a mech & a kick.
I doubt if an 18650 actually has a real life capacity of 3400.

All devices can die - I'm not sure that one malfunctioning evic is a reason not to buy one. And mine cost £70 - with the best will in the world and purchasing exclusively from FT I couldn't get all three for the same budget. To the OP - I do love my evic - it gives the most consistent vape of anything I've ever tried, but my other work horse a Vamo (v2) gives a very good account of itself for substantially less cash. I don't like box mods - the MVP has got a lot going for it, but if you don't like box mods it will never be love...

Heads broken off, 510 threads shredded, wiring gone. All this might be fine IF Joyetech fix them. If I was the only one, I can assure you I'd be recommending it all the time. It's great.

ALL, yep ALL Rechargeable devices and Batteries have a Finite life, I read of "300/500" Charge Cycles for Batteries, not in my experience, THEY ARE a consumable Product, and WILL eventually fall in the time between recharges and need replacing. BUT ITS STILL CHEAPER THAN SMOKING!!!!!

The 3400mah panasonic battery is pointless in a mod where it cuts off at 3v or above.. a lot of the capacity is between 2.5-3v..
better off with a ncr 2600mah IMO

Simple...you want a lightsaber...you need a mod. You are poor - then china (though it might be dead on arrival) or classies I'd recommend mechanical cos they're less likely to go bust in scottish weather. I love my magneto (£40 plus charger and batteries) but it's upto you. If you want bells and whistles then for budget it has to be a vamo.... Batteries & charger from torchy the battery boy on ebay. He's from glasgow and excellent service Mechanical mods wise (or clones of) - magneto, nemesis or sentinel That is your choice Simple

I use 3,400 Panasonics in all my VV/VWs. Torchy did a side by side comparison of the panasonic 3400mah to his 2600mah version. At a 2.5amp constant discharge, the 3400mah cell showed around 2000mah to be available to 3.2v (which is pretty much where most mods cut off) with the remaining 1400mah being useless. He does a better explanation of it here
