Wahaaay! My order has arrived. Thanks Kev for the prompt delivery. Bad news is I'm only home for lunch - so I've got to go back to work soon. Oh well, it's something to look forward to this evening - sod's law though, the afternoon at work will drag now.

ooohh i'm really excited for you tizer hope you remembered to pop the batteries on charge so they will be ready and waiting for you Nooo! I didn't - I swear I read somewhere that you shouldn't if you're not around. So I didn't want to risk it. So here's today's Good News Bad News Update Good - I got the kit at lunch Bad - I didn't put a battery on charge Good - I got the juices Bad - I have no idea how to put them in the e-cig. (I was expecting a step by step guide to come with the kit) Good - There are useful video tutuorials to follow online Bad - The speakers on my so-called entertainment laptop are bust! Good - I also have a netbook with speakers. Bad - It's in the spare room somewhere aka black-hole. Allegedly there is a double bed in there but I can't see it! Good - I'm not back in work till tomorrow afternoon Bad - I've got a dentist appointment mid-morning and it's a 35 minute drive, one-way So battery on charge now - didn't even manage to get that right - thought it wasn't working - no lights came on. Was all set for some consumer complaining and then realised I'd plugged the adaptor in one socket but switched another socket on! Honestly I shouldn't be allowed out on my own. So going to have some tea and then I'm going to tackle the black hole and see if I can root out the netbook - you can guarantee that's going to insist on loads of blinking updates being installed before it starts working and assuming I can also find the power lead for it.

If you got atomisers and cartridges with your kit the vidoes will tel you to do this... Take the lid of the bottle of juice Hold the cart in one hand Hold the juice in the other Put about 10ish drops of juice in the open end (end that slots into the atomiser) onto the fillign material, untill it loooks soggy and a bit like a slush puppy Pop cartridge back in the atomiser Disconnect battery from charge (when its finished - green ligth will stay on) Connect atomiser and cartridge to the battery Vape Dead easy First couple of drags may taste a bit funky if the atomiser has primer on it, check this by blowing into the atomiser hard over a tissue. Any problems then you know where we are

I VAPED! I AM A VAPER !? Managed to see most of one e-cig vid last night before the blinking netbook decided to give up the ghost and quit on me but I soldiered on and it's surprising what you can pick up in video tutorials without sound - actually it's not really - they are very boring without sound. Although not having heard even one vid all the way through, they may be very boring with sound - I just don't know. So I tried the BnH last night - just seemed very sweet to me so that will have to be put to one side for now and tried again later. Then shock, horror, major panic - at 10pm I realised I hadn't got any analogues in the house. Yes, I paniced and went through the usual smoker without cigs panic stations before I twigged I have an alternative - you'd have thought I realised that wouldn't you. So I switched to the Dark Vapure juice and that seems a little better, taste wise. Not as sweet as the BnH but still don't feel like I'm getting enough of a hit with it. But I've been up since 6.30 this morning and haven't gone screaming to the shop yet to get some analogues - that's a very good sign. I'd have had at least 6 analogues by now normally. So I need to figure out whether I am vaping in the best way to get the max effect from each drag - do feel as if I have to have a vape so regularly that I'll never not have the thing in my gob. At least with an analogue there was an end to it - you know when you've had your hit because there's no more cig to smoke! Just a bit harder to suss out with the e-cig. But I will persist. I am going to buy some analogues today although I will just get a pack of 10 I think - that way they are there to fall back on if I really feel I need one. I'm also going to order some more juice - looking for the darker / harsher tobacco flavours to start and I think I will up the nic level on some of them just to compare as I don't seem to be getting the hit I need. Especially as I won't (at least for now) be able to use it at work so I will need enough hit to get me through a couple of hours to start. Once I understand it better I will be asking if I can use it in the office but have a feeling it will be a no response. So that's my update for now. Thanks to all for the support and advice so far - it really helps. TTFN.

Sounds like you're doing great Tizer Don't worry about vaping more often, the nicotine is delivered a bit differently with an e-cig and it's more of a slow and steady delivery than the quick hit of a cig. If you still experience cravings when using it regularly, then yes, I would say up your nicotine to the next level, at least for a while. First thing in the morning was always the hardest part for me, but now I can even make a brew before I start vaping - could never do that with a cig.

I would never let myself take my cigs upstairs as I knew if they were by my bed I would light one up before I got out of bed! But over 90 mins so far with no analogues at all - I'm feeling quite chuffed. Normally I'd have been puffing away virtually non-stop like a little toxic smoke engine!
