I use 3 types of e-cig.
Big "Mod" ecigs at home = anything more or less.
Basic eGo batteries with medium sized clearomisers. (these are popular on here and you'll get lots of choices)
cig-a-likes... see the kit in my last post.

Actually, today I went away for work. I used a Spinner 1300mAh with an iClear16. The iClear has just run out of "Fortuna Strike" e-liquid. I do like the iClear16, but it's thirsty. myepack.co.uk/vision-spinner-1300-mah.htmlmyepack.co.uk/clearomizers/iclear-16.htmlI got 5 of them in a bundle with an Innokin iTasteVV. To be perfectly honest, I can't see me using the iTasteVV in preference to the Spinner. The liquid (as an example) was £2.46. The cost comparison comparing filling your own with liquid to "e-tips" (E-Lites) is quite astounding.

Hiya again bishop - I started on skycigs (the cigarette looking vape) it did get me focussed on quitting but I found the battery life was frustrating and the cartridges expensive as I needed 2 a day to equate to my 20 a day smoking habit, they worked out at a few pound so I could see there wasn't a huge saving Once I started seeing people with basic tank systems I bought one off ebay and was amazed at the costing in comparison to the skycig prices, but some of the market eliquids I tried were disgusting! So then I joined this forum, bought a better quality tank and battery and from then on in its been plain sailing, found even better ce4 style tanks (the iclear16) they last for yonks + I only have to change the coil (inside part) once every few months. I've found great eliquids from forum members recommendations and now I make my own at a fraction of the cost. So my path has been: 2x 50 grammes of tobacco weekly = £30 Skycig starter kit, weekly costs = £10 Basic ego kit & eliquids, weekly cost = £5 DIY mixing price per week = £2.50 Thats if I totally ignore the gear I keep buying as I cant resist spending teh money I've saved from quitting smoking But at least now I have something to show for it -- in multiples .....I'm morphing into a vaping shopaholic!

The 'clearomiser' (a smallish tank, usually holds about 1.8ml of juice) and a 650 - 900mah battery would probably do you the majority of a day before the battery dies, and that will take about 2 hours to recharge. It's very difficult to quantify just how liquid equates to cigarettes, but 2 ml of juice is probably about the same as 20 cigarettes, but of course there is the strength of the juice to add to the equation too. 18mg (1.8%) nicotine is the average, but many of us use lower nic juice than that. All in all, the smaller battery and an Evod or iClear 16 would be quite discreet and you will soon get used to the slight increase in size. A Spinner is really not that much bigger but will last a whole lot longer - most are 1300mah so more than twice the time between charges. Mah stands for Miliamp/hr, and I'm sure someone with more electrical knowledge than I will swing by with an explanation, but simply the higher the number the more power it holds, but the longer it takes to charge up again. I use my Spinner out and about, but have a Vamo mod for use at home or in the car. I use Protanks on the mod and iClear 16s on the Spinner.

Thanks again one & all. It's all a lot clearer now. Just need to decide which I think is going to be right for me and expect to have to try a few until I get it right. At least now I have an informed choice.

Please let us know what you propose to buy before ordering in case we can help you save a few quid - although you really can't do better than Myepack, their prices are competitive and delivery swift. We'll help if we can though!

I watched a vid on youtube recently about the possible side effects of stopping smoking and what you mention sounds like most of the stuff listed, I was really just looking for the possible negative effects that you might have to go through when stopping.
Here it is, have a watch and see if it helps

I think we can discount break-out of the odd spot as only (exclusively) giving up smoking. Sure, vapers might get them then, but I think it's also possible (for me) that our/my skin is not being bombarded with the tobacco smoke and the body must be responding differently to a new skin condition. My worst episode was using homemade juice with concentrates from a popular B&M vape shop. Even my doctor was concerned that a change of liquid had been so dramatic to my skin and general well-being.

Thanks for that ENJAY. DJS makes some good points too and I'm now thinking that what I thought may be an allergy, could in fact just be my body adjusting back to 'normal'.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. I think I have a plan worked out for upgrading from E-Lites.
2 x Vision Spinner 1300 mah or smaller. 5 x iclear16 clearomiser. 3 x 30ml e-juice.
Just not sure about sizes so may find a shop first off where I can actually see & feel them before buying online.
