Ahhhh yes. I totally agree with this.

We have to do regular back seat hunts to search out mcdonalds gherkins shoved down seats. Sandwich crusts on carpet oh, and the worst has to have been a baby bottle full of formula milk that had rolled under the front seat weeks before. Solved the mystery of the disgusting smell when I got in the car each day!
I wouldn't have minded so much but it's the grandchildren not my own!!!

Me too, too many times I've unwittingly stuck my hand in a half eaten sandwich or worse in those oh so handy pockets on the back of the front seats...little monsters!

The worst one was when my son was sick, he tried to open the window to barf out of it but missed and it all ended up in the storage bit on the bottom of the door Guess who got the lovely job of scooping it all out?

I used to have a sun roof but couldn't open it incase someone mistook my car for a skip

Being serious, unusual for me, I stopped smoking in cars 2 years before I gave up, reason being I got a car that I knew was going to be traded soon and nobody had ever smoked in it, then I got my new car, one I'd always wanted and thought hell not turning this into mobile ashtray, it worked, on long journeys i'd look forward to every 3-4 hours having a fag break, made the ciggy taste better.

Shame i'm not the same vaping, bloody things never out of my hand (apart from race cars, gets awkward).

Dont worry they will pick on ecigs next due to sugary flavour contents making kids obese! while travelling in your car, hope they dont only way can inside windows done with grandkids licking the glass clean!

4 hour drive to holiday destination, 20 mins to go ... upchucked all over quilts, pillows and odds and sods in the back seat. we were camping for a week so first job was washing!
(if you leave it to dry, it hoovers out eventually.....)

I suspect part of the rail/bus bans has come about from
complaints about drivers smoking being defended with
claims that what was seen was a cigalike. HR departments
have found a simple solution to the ecig get out clause.
It wont be long before ecigs are cited as part of the problem
of enforcement of an unenforceable law in private cars.

No one can defend smoking in an enclosed space with anyone, let alone children,
but this law steps way over the line as far as personal freedom is concerned.

If they want to ban smoking while driving, for road safety then I would go along with that.
