Morning tattooedvaperWhat do we prefer in the morning? PG or VG? For me, it's a 50/50 mix all day as it gives me my preferred balance of TH and vapour. I vary my watts depending on the time of day though... normally around 7.5 first thing and head up to 9/9.5 by the end of the day

giles do you find VG a less harsh vape too? I do. Most people find it gives less throat hit.

As I mix my own I have just tried a 70/30 pg/vg and don't find it as good as my normal 60/40 there's less flavour and it's harsher on my throat having several bad throat nights with it which I NEVER got with 60/40.

I've just switched from 50/50 to 70/30 PG to see if it preserves the life of my atties and I found an interesting improvement. My chest feels so much better after switching to mainly PG. I suspect the VG being thicker was giving my lungs some problems and making me feel out of breath for a few seconds after vaping.
Now, no side effects at all. This was with Red Astaire DIY - not sure how my custard flavours will do if I start mixing them at 70/30 PG rather than 50/50 but it's worth a go for me.

The exact opposite to me kibbster just goes to show how subjective it is. Though it wasn't my chest that it affects it was my throat I suspect the vg soothes my throat.

VG is a smoother vape than PG and has less throat hit. It wasn't the throat hit causing me problems (although I don't like too much but that's what lower power is for) it was the VG coating my lungs and giving me breathing problems for a short while afterwards. I always felt out of breath after vaping 50/50. Got used to it after a while till I tried mainly PG which is the first time in a long time I've vaped mainly PG so forgot how much easier it was to vape, for me.

giles yeah i know but i have to be honest I can feel almost no difference at 20mg having switched My normal vape has no VG at all, so I guess I may be a special case (when I do use VG it is at about 60% - I don't have any vg-based nic).
