Earplugs lol   giles , mine whistles i suspect the cure is a £70 genuine one though, if you find a cure I would be interested it drives me nuts sometimes.

It is a mystery Giles. Mine only does it very occasionally. Can't work out the cause as it it filled same way each time, with same cotton wool and I haven't changed the airflow since I got it. It's only a slight whistle on mine so doesn't really bother me at all.

I recoiled my AGI last night with that ribbon stuff and now it's gone mental with popping. it's gone insane! That's using mesh wick, I'm going to try the ribbon with silica tonight just because I can lol.

Hi , if possible can you show a photo with just the ribbon coil and silica wick. Im curious and am thinking about buy some ribbon.

Yeh sure thing, I'll be at it later and take pics. Basically I'm going to try out maccafans silica wick idea but using the ribbon kanthal stuff.

Exactly the same thing happens to me on my tablet @purple1234.  Particularly if I type a word beginning with the letter I or if I tap a suggested word as I'm typing.  Only happens if I quote though and no idea why or how to fix it... bloody annoying!

Whistling kayfun usually means that there is something in the air inlet. (Or 3.1 collector tank) Whether it be juice from overfilling/flooding, or maybe a piece of swarf.. piece of kitchen roll inserted into the airhole will clear any juice buildup.

regarding quoting issues, click on the "bb code" box at the bottom left of the text entry box and you shouldn't have any more issues
