Simply gentle cotton wool states •100% Pure Organic Cotton, Soil Association certified •Socially responsible, environmentally friendly growth, production and process •No pesticide residues or chlorine •Ideal for use on newborn babies' delicate skin. So does that mean no bleach ??? It means a non chlorine bleach, like the stuff I got from Wilkinsons £1.57 for a 100, this spec is the best I have found so far. Organic is important because of the nasty pesticides, probably more so than the bleach but that's just a guess. I haven't been able to find any that is organic and unbleached 100 % cotton so far except muslin for nappies, it seems that we are a new market looking for a supplier.

So does that mean no bleach ??? It has probably been bleached with hydrogen peroxide in that case - all white cotton, organic or not, will have been bleached.

Question ... Putting the bleaching issue to one side... Are you guys that are using this stuff using it like cotton wool ? I.e threading it through existing coils or are you coiling round it like you would with silica or ekowool ?

Have to say, it does make me laugh about the lengths some go to to avoid the perceived dangers of bleached cotton and preaching about it, after spending many years inhaling burned tobacco and paper.

There's a couple of balls left here (removed) for anyone not wanting to find a hobby craft shop. Tried some in a squape- very good Tried some in a kraken - again very good I think this stuff works better than cotton, it's just a shame that my juice prefers silica

White yarn/thread/wool is almost always dyed white even if it begins its life as white, as far as I know.
