I don't mind it wandering off topic - it's more entertaining.

The mango is nice - almost too nice.

Cinnamon is not so good, couldn't finish a cartridge of that,
but the peppermint is OK for a change.
I think I'll be dong a few more pick 'n' mixes for a while whilst I
figure out the tastes I like.

Moved on to Virginia flavour now. Quite a good imitaiton of tobacco, and seems
to take away that desire to roll up an analogue.

Does anyone know how long I should expect an atomiser to last.
i don't want it to conk out on me and have to wait for a replacement.

Secondly, is it worth cleaning them if so, what method is considered best?

Anything from a few days to about a month. Always best to have a spare.

You can run them through with hot water or even give them a boil to clean them.

You're tastes may well also change over the weeks Dom, so it's worth not going too mad on flavours that you currently enjoy . . . although Caramel & Butterscotch can be excluded from that statement.

Most definitely Dom, at least 5 . . . my first attempt at vaping a couple of years ago floundered because of the lack of spare atomisers.

Update:

I tried out some 60/40 PG/VG RY4 - definitely getting better vapour and
flavour from this compared to PG only.
Interesting, though I guess the variation will depend on which flavour it is.

Meanwhile, getting fed up of filling cartridges and thinking about some cartomisers...

I should add I've still been smoking the odd analogue I still miss the smoke 'feeling'
if that makes sense, but used only 12.5g of tobacco since Monday where usually I'd
have smoked 50g.

The last one I had I put out half smoked because I couldn't stand the burnt
taste - so it's all good.

the VG will give you more vapour ... i personally like a good mix between PG/VG 60/40 and using PG in the mix makes the liquid wick better than VG on its own

cartomisers are great and come in a variety of types and sizes you could also look into smokymisers or bud tanks
everyone has their preference.. i have only tried boges so far but would like to give the other two mentioned a trial

smoking the odd analogue is ok you've already noticed how bad they taste and soon you wont even want one ...good luck

No rules to say you aren't allowed the odd analogue. But think of it this way - you have reduced your baccy usage by 75% - that's huge. Well done you.

Something I've noticed with the Riva charger is that it always
seems to take exactly 3 hours to charge a battery.
I wonder if it is just a simple timer - I waited for the light to go
green on a recharge, unscrewed the battery, screwed it back in,
and lo and behold, it went red and started charging again...
(though I didn't leave it for another 3 hours in case it exploded )
