Using certain adapters can also push the contact pin down on a battery or indeed a Mod connection . . . so it's always worth trying Jason's fix first.

I was looking at one of those variable pass-throughs, let me know how u get on with it. and Jason, let me know if u get it in white lol Not much to say - it works (now). Varying the voltage does have an effect - at 4.2V you get more flavour out of a cartridge and more vapour , so it's good in that respect. I'm not sure I'm expert enough to detect more subtle differences, and haven't really tried it with cartos yet. Anythying that reduces the need to recharge batteries is good imo. Meanwhile, I'm very happy to have switched to cartos - they seem to last forever between fills (well about a day), and are a lot less faff in general and give me better vapour.

My cat (RIP) used to eat them - all I had to do was shout 'spider' and point, and she would deal with it!

What a well trained Kitty. Spiders and Great White Sharks both frighten me.

I didn't train it, I think that's how she survived whilst she was stray (and before selecting muggins as her owner).

After a day of testing with the vari-voltage pass through, I am seeing different behaviour with different set ups. With an atomiser and cartridge, it works well at 3.7V, but even better at 4.2V. I can get loads of really tasty vapur from a long drag at 4.2, and it keeps going right to the end of the cartridge. With a cartomiser and drip tip, 4.2V is way too hot and dry, so 3.2V or 3.7V are better, giving the right amount of vape at the right temperature. I think the difference is due to airflow (much better through the carto/drip tip), and wicking speed. The atty has a small reservoir in the gauze around the coil, which means I can take a drag without it drying out, and between drags it gets replenished from the wadding in the cartridge. With the carto, the coil is onlty fed from contact with the wool filler, which I don't think can keep up with the rate at which vapour is produced and removed So in that respect, it is probably better than a plain 5V USB pass through which would probably be horrible with the cartomisers, but OK with cartridges. Or at least, that's my theory Finally, I tried out the freebie Grizwalds White Chocolate sample that came with the order. It's actually not bad - not nearly as overwhelming a chocolate taste as I expected. Very reminiscent of the Milky Bar (for those old enough to remember). Laters

'Only the best is good enough' for him though! Are the milky bars on you Gordy? I always loved caramac, most of my pocket money went on them. Are they still about? If they are, they will have shrunk over the years like most of the chocolate bars from those days.
