Still undecided! Still like the sound of the initial kits recommended but hubby pointed out that they are quite large and knowing me I'll end up breaking one in my bag lol. I cycle the kids to nursery and school and then smoke at the bus stop on my break at work etc so usually on the go if that makes sense? The cartridge ones (excuse my terminology!) Seem quite convenient for this. If only there was a decent one. As I'm only a light(ish) smoker it would be handy to have something simple that I could just pick up in an instant and then tuck in my bag if that makes sense.

Hi djs! Thanks for that, just read your review and you've said you can refil it yourself, how would you go about that? Would I just buy some menthol juice and put it in the cartridge wotsit? I may well try this one for a start off!

Yes, basically. Let me tell you more in a while. You'd need to buy some Menthol prefilled or "Blank" cartomizers.

Lucky you ,this forum is the right place to ask for help ....i still read the forum 1 hour a day minimum.
I stop smoke and i start to vape and i'm happy. New hardware for me today (lucky day) ,vision spinner battery and aspire bdc.Really happy with this combo.

If you genuinely smoke 10 a day, I think you'd be OK with a cig-a-like kit. I almost gave up from 15-a-day using an 808 kit.

What got me was the charging. If you can stay on top of it, it's not a bad e-cig. Worst case, you can buy a cigar-sized battery and the appropriate adapter and continue with the pre-filled cartomisers, topping them up yourself.

a) you need to buy/choose some cartomisers with the kit, so choose anything, or go Menthol
b) you'll need to get some bottled e-liquid. I would go with 18mg and see how you go (anybody else want to suggest?)
c) it's easy to top up/fill the cartomisers - I use a bent paperclip. Pop the top off, top up with a few drop, keep going, but don't flood it.

When I use this type of kit, I charge the battery after 4 or 5 vaping sessions (10 puffs approx.) If it gets too low, you will lose too much vapour and therefore nicotine, meaning ... well ... possible cravings or dissatisfaction.

Keep them charged. Keep them topped up. Buy some "blanks" if you want... I just refill the plain tobacco ones ASAP with another (better) flavour.

What can I add. It's better than E-Lites which charge £3.99 per refill.

That is not an un-quantifiable brag, like E-Lites claim on their marketing literature. It's mathematically/scientifically provable.

Simple science beats expensive ads.

It's a basic e-cig that is quite acceptable. I like mine. Not for everybody.... that's for sure.

Well Hubby gave in and we brought the EVOD starter kit yesterday...it arrived this morning and we love it!

Any tips on getting the best from it inhaling wise? Had a right old choking fit with my first puff haha!

Really good kit, it's what I started with and still use every day. What e-liquid are you using? This is just as important as you getting the right kit.

My tips would be: Rinse the new evods (not the batteries).After filling your evod (new, clean and after coil change) always leave to stand for about 15 mins. Don't inhale the first couple of tokes on a new evod just hold in mouth and blow out. Once the new wick and coil are fully saturated it will give a much smoother vape. Keep going, you may need to vape more often than you smoked. You may not give up ciggerettes straight away, I didn't for the first two weeks of vaping. Then found I just hadn't smoked for a day or two.

The inhales needs to be gentler than a smoking. It will soon become second nature.

Don't stint on nicotene. I smoked 7-10 rollies a day, moved onto 18mg liquid strength but find 20-22mg e-liquid great for a quicker hit.

You definitely have to re-learn your technique! As a smoker one tends to draw hard on the cigarette but with vaping it's the total opposite. Very light, slow draw. I've been doing it for three weeks and have to admit that in that time I've actually inhaled only about three times! All I do is take the vapour into my mouth and then exhale. It works for me. Others suggest you take the vapour into your mouth, pause for a bit then inhale further. It takes some practice but it's truly worth it in the end.

PS I'm very new so I suspect there'll be others along shortly with more precise advice!
