This is the type of thing and I want to fill all the voids with clear casting resin mixed with different coloured powders
Hope the link works?
Sorry, I didn't see this reply before!
It looks like an interesting project, if a bit tricky! It's not really what
I expected when you said it was for a DNA mod
At first glance, I would guess you need to fill each section individually, as you want to use different colours. Is the inside of the vase hollow?
One way would be to take casts of each of the "holes", make moulds and recast in coloured resin of your choice. This WOULD be time consuming and laborious!
Another way, (which I would favour, but can't be sure if I don't have the piece in my hands) would be to coat a long balloon in vaseline, insert it into the vase, blow it up, put the vase on one side and slowly work your way around it, pouring in colours as you go, where you want them. Pigments can be added to Jesmonite to give almost any colour you want, as well as giving metallic or stone type finishes. Do one side at a time and allow an hour or so for each part to cure before turning it round and doing another side.
Hope this helps! If I can think of another way to do it, I'll let you know
