Going shopping - any ideas & suggestions?

It's been an eventful week in vaping. First my cheapy beginner battery stopped working, then a few days later my beloved rainbow Vision Spinner started playing up! It won't charge fully and needs to be topped up every couple of hours. I'm desperately hoping it keeps limping along until payday this Friday - I'm too skint to buy anything until then! 

So I've been browsing around for what to go for next, and I like the look of the iTaste VV v30 myepack.co.uk/innokin-itaste-vv-v3-0-express-kit.html Would you recommend it? I see the MVP gets lots of good reviews on here too, and isn't that much more expensive. I think I would prefer the shape of the V30, but if the MVP is a much better device, I suppose I would get used to the new shape pretty quickly. 

If you have/had the V30 or the MVP, has it served you well? How long has it lasted? The Spinner has only lasted 5 months, I know batteries do die but was expecting a bit longer from it, especially since the cheap one that just died was bought around the same time. 

If I use it with the passthrough, is this done with the charging cable that comes with the battery or do I need a different cable? And will I need a different wall socket adaptor or will my normal one do the trick?

At the moment, I use a Mini Protank. Will this work well with the Innokins? 

I've also had my head turned by the Smok Tumbler www.ukecigcabin.com/product/smok-tumbler It looks like a gimmick but it gets good reviews. Has anyone used one, and is it worth the money?

Lastly, I guess I'll need another back-up battery. Just a basic model for light use would be fine. Any suggestions on what to get/avoid? (My last one was one of the £7 Paradise Vape blister pack ones that were often recommended for beginners on here, but they don't seem to do those any more.)

I use the itaste vv v3 and have almost from the beginning. I've had mine about 4 months now but I do have 2 as I'm a fairly heavy vaper and never have it out of my hand for more than a few minutes. Oh and I also use the mini protanks with it have tried a few others but always come back to them in less than day. I like the shape of the itaste vv it fits nicely in my hand and IF lol I ever put it down it doesn't roll away. The price on myepack is good you could almost get 2 for the price of a mpv.

The MVP is in my opinion a bombproof piece of equipment. I have both the original version and the MVP 2. Only difference is the MVP 2 has variable wattage and an ohms checker whereas the original has variable voltage only. I have had them about five months and no trouble with 2/3 days from a full charge. I use protank 2 on them one with no trouble, the other I have to pull down the contact pin on the tank slightly or it will not fire. I have also used an I clear 16 & 30, cobra, oddy, evod, aga, ithaka, steam turbine and a Kayfun on them and they all fire very well, as on the rba's, I use around 1.8 ohm coils. Don't think there is much you can't put on them as long as its not sub ohm stuff. I am very much a fan of the box mod, as at the moment I have an order in with super- shinny on this forum for one of his custom builds. As for this myepack.co.uk/innokin-itaste-vv-v3-0-express-kit.html I can't comment as I have never used it but I'm sure someone who has will be on soon to give you a run down on it. As I stated, this is only my opinion but hopefully it will help you in your decision when making your purchase. I've got a couple that I use for work. Nice piece of kit. Battery lasts all day.
Innovapours have them for £19.50 each and they have the extra rivets to stop the top pulling off.

Better add another £2.50 for a charging cable. But you only need one.

Saturnalia i have had Riva, Spinner, Twist batteries & was fed up of charging them every day then at Christmas i was bought an MVP2 its great i only have to charge it every 4 days the charging cable comes with it & will work with the wall plug you have been using via usb connection, also included is an iclear30 i got mine from Myepack, i use Davide mini clearos on the MVP so the Protank will be ok as they are similar.
My daughter got a Kanger (ego type) battery from there too for £9.99 & says its much better than the cheap ones from Paradise Vape, you can't go wrong as they are genuine products from Myepack & fast delivery too.

Myepack has the VV V3.0 including the charging cable for £19.99, and the MVP V2.0 with the cable and an iClear 30 for £35.99. I've been having a look around for basic batteries and, unless I go to ebay and buy goodness-knows-what, they are all in the £10-15 range so I might as well get the VV and know I'm getting quality kit from a decent supplier!

I am swaying more towards the MVP, it's got consistently brilliant reviews and it probably won't take too long to get to grips with the box shape. At that price it would be rude not to!

I have both the MVP and the itaste one. I like both but the MVP is a better battery, the charge lasts ages and it's quite well built, I fubared an itaste that I had in my pocket a few weeks ago

At work this morning having a cheeky vape on the steps outside, when a man arrived for a training session we were running and he was vaping away. I asked him what he was using and it was an MVP. I told him I'd been recommended that one and he let me have a fiddle with it. It does feel comfortable to hold so I'm going to go for it!

Payday at midnight - I've already got the MVP in my myepack cart to be ordered first thing in the morning, with Saturday delivery! Touchwood, my Spinner is still giving an hour or so of vape for about 3 hours of charge, so here's hoping I get another day-and-a-half of use from it.

the mvp - will be my next purchase - but I wait till myepack has the shiny ones - I also love my itaste - am quite happy with anything square as it does not roll of the table

This may sound counter productive but have you thought about a device with removable batteries?

I only say this because although you will get at least a couple of days of charge out of the mvp, what are you going to use whilst it's charging?

With removable batteries you just take one out, put it on charge, and whack another battery in to keep you going..

Sounds fairly obvious I know, but this among other reasons is why I sold my mvp within a week of owning it..

great if you have a backup, not so great if you don't..

at least with the I taste you could have two in rotation..

Re the smok tech tumbler ... Don't bother I was swayed by its looks but disappointed ! Too used to top coils ie iclear 30s and 16 , it's a weak vape in comparison and the metal tip IMO taints the taste

Got paid and got my shopping done at about 9 this morning!

1 MVP in Titanium Blue, a glass tube in blue for my Mini Protank (I only have the purple one I'm using at the moment and it would be just my luck to break it just as the MVP is charging up! Got blue to be colour co-ordinated.) and a Spearmint juice.

Paid £10 for Saturday-next-day delivery. Owch, but I bet if I hadn't, the poor suffering Spinner would expire at precisely the minute the local e-cig stall packed up for the night!

I've also been to Joose Juice and got 2 for 1s on my favourites in 30ml, Gingerbread and Pistachio, and I got 10mls of Mocha, Toffee Cappuccino, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Bubblegum and Vanilla. I haven't tried any of those except Bubblegum, and I don't think I left it to steep long enough, so will definitely be leaving this one a month.

dan: Good point about battery life. Though I charge my ecigs at work and only take a couple of short vape-breaks in the day, and at home I tend to vape in front of the computer so will be able to use the passthrough. It's out & about weekends that will be the challenge, but I'll see how the first month goes. I'll need to get a backup at some point anyway, so I'll have a thing about the vapers you suggested.

jaysey: I haven't got the Tumbler yet. Good to know it might not be that good, I'll stick with the Protank for the time being, it's working well for me. Though now I have seen an MVP in the flesh, it looks like it might look better with the full size version on it. Again I'll wait and see how it goes, I've spent enough on my habit this month I think!
