??? Just bought an Echo (1st vape device !) I put 50 drops into my new Echo. Vaped great. Then didn't pull so well , so added 3 drops - it was then full - and vaped OK Later that day - not much vapour , so refilled 3 drops - FULL again - and vaped great . So what's happening here - I can only fill my 3 drops , then have to refill - what happened to the first 50 drops ? Does it just serve as a conduit - seems to be alot of wasted liquid if this is the case. More likely I'm making a silly mistake !!! Please help me !!! (Jason - any tips?)

I've not used The Echo system, so can't be of any help to you I'm afraid Rav, sorry. But I'm sure Jason or someone who has will be along to advise you.

Hi Rav
It sounds like it wasn't quite full on the first fill, so has dry pockets.
If it's fully filled, once the flavour starts to go, you should be able to stick another 10-12 drops minimum into it each time - sometimes up to 20 at a time.
I would stick a bit of juice into a syringe and ease it in, in a few places around the wadding and add some more juice. Do it over a tissue and don't worry if you get a little out of the bottom.
These things really need a good drowning first time around and then they will last a good while without a top up and thereafter the top ups are quite large and last quite a while.
Give that a try and see how you go.
50 drops isn't a rule, it's just a rough guide - if you get 60 drops into an Echomiser and nothing has come out of the bottom - add some more and don't stop until you get the first couple of drops seeping out. Then it's important that you give it a blow through to clear the centre tube and allow it to rest for as long as you can.

And just to answer the second part of your question - yes, you are creating a wicking process that will then remain constant.

so when the echomiser dies , I will loose that fluid ,and will have to supply a similar level to the next one.
Are all the products like this , or just this one ?

If that is the case, and I don't know, no they aren't - the cartomisers I usually use don't do that as far as I know although I guess some juice must get wasted to get them wicking when they're initially filled. If it's any consolation I had a hassle today when I tried out a Smokymizer, ended up with juice all over my hand and the thing kept leaking initially. It seems to have settled down now and I'm a bit wiser about how to fill it and use it than I was. I think the thing to remember is that it's a bit of a learning curve but will settle down with time and you'll find something cart wise that works for you. I started on Atties and didn't like them much but am now much happier with carts and tanks.

Rav I've not used an echomiser, but ill assume it fills like most, through a hole of somekind. If thats the case theres a little gadget available for ease of emptying your old carts called the Griz Wizz, it's available on the vape escape site (theres a link in Jason's sig just above your last post) extremely cheaply. And not only does it do the job cleanly and quickly, it's also an excellant toy to anoy your cat (if u have one, if you don't it's still worth getting)

When the Echomiser or any cartomiser dies, there is always a sacrifice of some juice Rav - that's the honest answer.
As Jemima says, you can empty cartomisers using centrifugal force, but the Echomiser is larger than a standard cartomiser so won't fit in the Gria Whiz that she mentioned (although Griz has been tinkering with one for the larger cartomisers, so there may be one in the pipeline).
With your batteries, you can also use the smaller Boge/Kanger cartomisers which work on exactly the same principle as the Echomiser but are smaller so hold less liquid (and therefore need topping up more often).
Your other alternative is a tank system - The tank cartridge systems will not loose any juice when they die because you can just tip it back out of the tank. However, they require a seperate atomiser and the lifespan of tank atomisers is very unpredicatble (2 weeks to 2 months) and they are far more expensive.
Then you have the larger Map Type tanks which can hold a full 5ml of juice, but also require the introduction of an atomising element and are very bulky on top of your battery.
The list goes on, but you will see that the pattern is that every method has it's pro's and con's.
At the moment you are using, what I consider to be, the most economical and convenient method for a newcomer to vaping. But, without doubt, you will try lots of other options and eventually find your ideal set up.
I'll put a few pics up later to show you the difference between the various options.

Well if they don't fit in the Griz Whiz, then he could take a look at the video of it in action and maybe bodge together somethign of his own ? I'm thinking small shampoo bottle and a piece of string
Anythign that gets the centrifugal force going should do the job (bit liek swinging your arm about to get the last of the ketchup out of the bottle)

Going alot better now. I realised I had been slanting my Echo the wrong way round when I was storing it. Now that I sloped it the other way , I haven't had to refill since Sunday !!! The incorrect slope must have pushed liquid in wrong direction , hence not given much vape ! Also , I was trying to smoke it like a cigarette , so have adjusted my pull abit. Still haven't had to recharge a battery yet - missing real ciggies a teeny bit , but will perserve !

Glad to hear things are getting better Rav. I usually leave the Echo stood up and if I've just 'first filled' an Echomiser, I leave it stood up on a piece of kitchen roll overnight. Quick blow through in the morning and it's good to go. With regard to missing the ciggies, you could always take your strength up a notch, to say 24mg, for a while just to help you out.
