Good lord Ive just noticed the price, a pack of 50 for 2.26? I thought it was a pack of 5. You use one per head right? That can't be right? Am I missing something?

Cheap as chips Oh my god I've been spending £5 per week on ready made ones. Thinking it was my only option other than using ohm metres and blow torches, and probably blowing myself up.

Guess how much 1 single coil head is over here............4 euros (around £3.40) That's why I have been buying all mine from fasttech. One pack of 5 from fasttech is cheaper than buying just one over here. In future though I will be buying that pack of 50 pre-made wicks.......even better value for money

Personally I use the single strand wicks at 1.8 ohms in Protanks (10th ones down on your link page) TheseWill these also work in a vivi nova,if not could someone link the right ones please. They will keep me going until i master my own.

OneDay they are sat in my basket ready to purchase, am I right in thinking they are - oh god is it - 2mm wick? The wick on its own that Clivia linked to was 3mm but I couldn't find one ready made, so the one you linked to is the one in my basket. Will that one also be fine for the evods?, oh and also I am guessing you trim the wick down, so do you plonk some of that across the top of the coil afterwards to stop leaks? I haven't even pressed pay yet and I have a million questions, just wait until I get them You had all better book holidays, it will be like dumber gets dumber. I'm going to tag robby here as last night I saw a super post he put on showing photos of each stage using ready made wick and wire, which will be fantastic for me once I get them ,but I can't find it now.

This is something I was wondering most of the night when I should have been sleeping, excuse my ignorance but there is something I really don't understand. If you have the wick, and you have the wire, according to the video Todd did, you just cut the wick to a certain size, cut some wire off a roll, wrap wire around the centre, and then do exactly the same insertion procedure as you do with the ready made ones. I can't therefore understand why you need drill bits, blow torches, the coil buddy etc when making from scratch, and even then they do not work? I see all the posts, so something is more difficult than the videos are making it look, as you guys on here are fab at doing stuff.

I use 5 per week, 3 in my protank which I use for custard and dessert stuff, 2 in my evod which I use for menthol. They are still pretty clean when I take them out, nothing like photos I see on here at all, and certainly not burnt at all, but I start getting a tickly cough, like something is scratching my throat, and the juice doesn't taste as strong, so I figured £5 ( if I get them on offer ) a week is better than the cost of ciggies, so change them, make the experience enjoyable. If I can pull this off though and make it cheaper that would be the best news ever, god I will change them twice daily

Yes, you could always add a bit of the trimmed-off wick across the top if you experience leakingI haven't even pressed pay yet and I have a million questions, just wait until I get them You had all better book holidays, it will be like dumber gets dumber. I'm going to tag robby here as last night I saw a super post he put on showing photos of each stage using ready made wick and wire, which will be fantastic for me once I get them ,but I can't find it now. Basically it's wrapping a bit of wire around a bit of string a few times. But it's fiddly. Using a needle or safety pin acts as a 'splint' to give something solid to wrap around. The coil buddy is a little gizmo that does the same job. You only need a blowtorch if you're making a wick from stainless steel mesh, which you won't be doing. You will. It will

sammy13I have done at least 30 Protank/Evod coils with the premade wick & wire from FT and it's a doddle. The resistance is pretty consistent and if you use the NR-RES-NR ones then you avoid burning the little rubber grommet, so no burnt taste and no damage to the grommet. I've also just ordered some 1.8 nr-res-nr coils only without wick so I can use cotton wicks. The resistance is pretty spot on and consistent as well, so no need to check it IMO.

Thankyou for your good vibes , I don't understand the NR-RES though, what is that lol? I have in my basket the ones that oneday linked to on the first page, and I am going to try to do my heads which are long post evod or protank genuine kanger ones. I know I will struggle with the fiddly bit of it - I'm small with huge fingers I guess , plus my hands go in spasms, and if I'm cold I can't feel my white fingers so maybe fingerless gloves would be an idea. Apart from that I really do want to give this my best shot, and if it takes all 50 to manage to get it right I'm happy with that as long as I can then replicate it over and over. I am worried mostly that I will ruin my batteries if I get it wrong.
