I am looking for solid not stranded wire in the following sizes: 20 AWG = 0.8118mm (which i believe is 16/0.2mm) 24 AWG = 0.5106mm (which i believe is 7/0.2mm) As far as i am aware AWG stands for American wire gauge and SWG stands for Standard wire gauge. I have no problems finding stranded but for the hell of me i cannot find solid/single core for the above sizes in the UK All i can find is 22 AWG solid core wire which i believe is 1/0.6mm Just for info it's for the DNA30 which i have been told it's best to use the recommended sizes if using sub ohms, which i do anyway but with stranded.....just wanna try single core.

RS sell 20AWG uk.rs-online.com/web/p/hookup-equipment-wire/3836177/ they may also sell 24AWG but I have not looked. The 16/0.2 denotes 16 strands of 0.2 wire, so I guess you would want 1/0.5 and 1/0.8 Also just noticed that it looks like cat 5 cable is 24AWG so just get a length of that.

I can send you a little 0.6 single to try out if you'd like, I must have about a mile of the stuff as I use it on the zapper pcb's.

The above post is for electrical wiring on boards not for attys You made me chuckle though I did think it was a bit strange that you of all people was asking about wire lol See that copper stuff the house is wired with, 2.5 etc, that's solid strands and would be good for jumpers etc, maybe the stuff for sockets, the cooker wire is probably to thick. I've also seen it in multi strands but really thck strands. I might have some lying about come to think of it, I'll check later and get back to you with sizes if I do.

Super-Shiny I just checked the connections on a DNA20 board and the 0.6 single core wire is perfectly fine, forget those silly American wire sizes. lol
