I thought for a while before posting this, as after our private chats I felt sad for you and didn't want you to think I was gloating. I'm certainly not, just very excited and sat here on my own so couldn't share it with anyone. Even my daughter has had the audacity to not answer her phone!! How dare she disappear without her mothers permission!

Any news on your case? Did you contact who we talked about last night?

LOL yes, I must admit I had the same thoughts at first Phoenix, but when I looked at it on Google earth there is a small woodland area and several houses between us and the river bank. Can't 100% certain! but I don't think we would be in danger from flooding. I haven't heard anything locally about problems with the river Crouch. Will take a closer look when we go.

Just had a call from them, but in all my excitement I wasn't listening properly. They asked if we can go look Tuesday 2.30pm, but I didn't catch if she meant tomorrow or next week. Dopey old bint I am! I will have to phone back but I not sure who it was!

Phoned them today and gave them a update and they are going to get back to me today, the phone call did end of with him saying "You have now gave us much more room to mess around with so this is a good thing"

Will update later when he phones me back

Thanks Jeff. I hope so. The last 4yrs have been horrendous. I said to Bill last night that when we do get our new home, we must see it as a fresh new start filled with optimism and good luck. No dwelling on the bad things that have held us back for so long.

I was going to say I shall be pacing up and down like a caged lion for a week, but I can't really pace anywhere! So I will have to be a caged lion in a squeaky chair
