If you order from China are you liable to customs charges?? Also, I can't see on Amy's site how much p & p is if you don't qualify for free posting. Can't see me ordering enough juice to qualify for free p & p.

Pixie, Most goods with a value over £18.00, arriving in the UK from outside the EU are liable to any or all of the following taxes:
customs duty excise duty import VAT
However, both large orders I've made with Health Cabin have just sailed through customs & I've not been charged anything.
As for Amy's P&P, she has recently changed how she charges & it's now on weight. I think it will be automatically calculated for you when you put the items in your basket?
There is also 2 choices of postage, EMS & the slower but cheaper China airmail.

Pixie, some prices from Amy re the cheaper China registered mail. China registered airmail is slow but less expensive. If you do not mind waiting, try China registered airmail. Here go the shipping rates via China registered airmail. they are the same for all countries. 0 ~ 100g 3.2 usd 100 ~ 200g 4.7 usd 200 ~ 300g 6.3 usd 300 ~ 400g 8.0 usd 400 ~ 500g 9.6 usd As for the delivery time via china registered airmail, it is up to the locations. normally it takes 10-30 business days to get there. but actually it depends. Fairly certain that it was Lilac that orderd via this method & it took only a couple of days longer than my order using EMS. for the USA it did take 10 business days to get there sometimes. but it did take 20 business days or longer to get there sometimes. *waves to James * so if you want to save money and do not mind waiting for extra time, try China registered airmail.

My order took about 14 days via snail mail but it was delayed owing to the ash cloud. It was well worth ordering from China as the prices including postage were very competitive indeed. My order was only £13 including postage which wasn't at all bad for 2 x 5 packs of cartomizers, so I can't comment on the Duty aspect. Fox

Having sat thru, and thoroughly enjoyed, James's internet stage performance, I can quite appreciate that he needs further outlets, and I don't mind "suffering" scylla

most definitely I have lost it .....Maybe I can utilize this forum and form some sort of search party .......NOTHING like the party that's in power right now ...... something kinda sensible and they can all look for my missing mentality.... But back KINDA on topic the customs WILL start to be a problem as soon as this dreaded ban comes into force if it does lol can always hope and pray James

I don't think that Customs will be able to do more than random checks on individuals' orders, just think of all the eBay cheapo electronics sellers flooding the UK with junk But big consignments coming in for suppliers could be a problem, I spose. scylla
