My Provari has developed a fault today and keeps displaying the E4 error code Im not at all happy and am awaiting response from Provape. Its still under warranty but its the whole sending it back to the America to be fixed that is so annoying.Oh well,im glad i have a good backup VV so im still getting the vape i need.Any of our talented modders fancy trying to fix it? Hmm,that will void my warranty though Oh well,i will send it off to be fixed and then it can be sold when i get it back.Ive had it about 8months now but i hoped this would never happen to mine

To be honest im just so happy i recently got a good backup VV mod.It only cost me £40 and performs equally,if not better than the Provari. No annoying safety cut outs etc and the batteries it takes are considerably cheaper. One feature im missing already is the ohms reader and battery check facility. In saying that,i know how many turns of wire give me a nice LR coil on my RTA so im not that gutted to send this for repair. Its made me realise now that it has to go,once fixed and back with me it can be sold.I now just need to buy another VV backup to back this one up Money, money, money all the time

Sorry to here about your problem Ian, especially as it was mainly down to you that I got one, and I am grateful. Hope it sorts out.

(((( Ian )))) From what I read, Provape are excellent at sorting out any issues, so hopefully you won't be without it for long. Not a huge consolation I know . . . but I guess that's something we all have to be prepared for with the more sophisticated electronic devices.

Your rite Perpy,i always knew this could happen with the Vari.Ive had a message back saying that when the E4 error code comes and goes(which it is on mine)it can be due to the atomiser being at fault.Ive only been using the RTA, so i will make a new coil and see how it goes.Im also going to dig out other atomisers and cartomisers to see if this code will go away.David insists that it is perfectly normal to get the odd E4 code and nothing to worry about.I always thought E4 was serious and required the mod to be sent back to Provape.Oh well,i will go and try some other gear and see what happens.Fingers crossed i can shake this blasted E4 thing for good Its strange as the E4 code comes on,then it vapes o.k for a while and then comes back on again.I think she is just having an off day today, lol.

Ah, that sounds more promising Ian, fingers crossed . . . is the RTA like on the Iatty when if the coil wires touch it causes something it shouldn't?

I'm no expert Ian but have you tried to lower the voltage to see if that helps.

Sorry to hear about the problem with your Provari. Hope it gets sorted quickly.
What is your backup VV mod?
Sounds good at £40.

I will get a review of it up over the weekend mate. Its a great VV mod and to be honest im enjoying it more than the Provari. It hits much harder as it has no limitations.Im vaping a 1.7ohm coil at 4.7v and it hits the spot like a freight train As for the Provari, ive used my RTA on it with a new coil fitted for an hour or so now and all seems to be fine.Ive tried Boge cartos, dual coils and clearomisers and no problems at all.Provape really do know what they are on about,it seems my coil on the RTA was causing the problem all along. My Vari seems to be fine, all functions are performing like they should and if you try to bump an atty up to high im still getting the E2 error code.Oh well,i will see how it goes

I was worried also mate, ive had it a good 7-8 months and never seen an E4 code before. It says on Provape site to contact them IF the code persists. After speaking to them in great detail, it seems that the odd E4 code is generally down to a bad atomiser.Since adding a new coil to my RTA all is fine again and its working great with everything else ive put on it.I was told that the only time it needs sent back is if your getting constant E4 errors.I cant complain anyway as its been vaped heavily for around 8 months, even if it did die i reckon ive had my moneys worth of usage out of it
