So my nemmy clone arrived today and the seller set it to 7.5 watts for me as this is what I typically use . However how do I set this myself ? Also there is no tape around the edges of it ? Is this correct ?

Ok, so this is your kick: Notice the blue thing sticking out next to the positive post? This is a potentiometer, basically a dial that you can turn with a screwdriver to set it to your desired wattage. Can you see the numbers in a circle nearest the camera? These give you a guide as to what wattage you are setting it to. The white dial with the cross sections for the screwdriver has one segment with two dots either side - this is the pointer that you set. If your unsure, turn it fully one way and then dial it back to your desired wattage. When fitting it, it needs to sit on top of the battery and the spring loaded negative pin (far end of this picture) needs to needs to make contact with the wall of the mod: Now adjust the button and top pin so it holds in place without any rattle and makes contact with your atty, and vape on! The tape is plastic shrink wrap, which is insulation, an extra safety device. The clone kicks don't have this - I'm not sure where you got yours from, but it sounds exactly the same as the one I have in my pictures above. It won't affect the operation.

You mean the dots on the white dial? They tell you which segment is the pointer. Think of the line in between the two dimples as an arrow for the dial, so you can see what wattage you've set it to.

Shake it. Is there any rattle, or any movement from the battery at all? If so you need to tighten it.
When you say 18650, do you mean 18650 with a kick (so all tubes)? I don't use 18650s with the kick, but I do find that if using 18500 with a kick the tube is slightly too long for the button to fire. To counter this, I remove the kick ring - that's the thin section in the tubes on your nemesis. The button then sticks out a fair way at the bottom, but it always fires. Why not try this.

I got it to work in 18650 now , I had to unscrew the pin in the battery section a little bit and then it worked for some reason . There was no rattle before however ? So let me confirm , if the battery runs too low , will the kick prevent it from firing ? Or how does the kick make this device safe?

Today must be kick hell day. I'm in the same boat. Sigh. My nemesis arrived today and I've got it all together and working great...provided I don't use the kick2. No way, no how will it fire with the kick installed. I've gone to the manufacturer's site to make sure I've installed it correctly. Bottom metal is making contact with a fully charged battery, top pin is making contact with the fire pin, two brass bits are touching inside of mod and everything is secure - but no fire. Take out the kick, re-adjust and everything works fine again. I've tried with 18350 and 18650, but nothing doing with the kick.

The owner returned it to the vendor (C9V ?) who tested it, found it was faulty and replaced it.

So let me confirm , if the battery runs too low , will the kick prevent it from firing ? Or how does the kick make this device safe? Depending on the model of the kick, it will shut off when the battery charge drops to around 3 volts.

I always change my batteries before it gets to that point I use 18350s, and I change once a day (so two batteries per day). I'm not a heavy vaper and I've learnt that works for me. I know theres a shut off on the evolve kicks, I'm just not sure with the fasttech ones that I use. Edit - treed by yinyang

Good point DiscoDes .. if either the kick or the battery is fitted upside down it will destroy the kick.

No offence taken DiscoDes. Yeah, I've got the wee blue thing on the kick at the top and the flat copper plate at the bottom aiming for the battery. I have the battery in the mod, plus side on top. It works fine without the kick, just not with it. I've pm'd the member I bought it from @yinyang because it was listed as brand new and unused. Hoping he still has the paperwork for it.
