Coffee machines

I'm a latte and cappuccino lover and my kids bought me a dolce gusto melody for Christmas, I've used it at least once a day ever since. I love it, I have a quick cappuccino before work and chill out with a caramel latte when I get home. We get 3 boxes of pods for a tenner in Asda and I've discovered a cheap source of coffee syrups in lidl, they do caramel, vanilla or hazelnut for £1.50 a bottle, much cheaper than buying online or in costas. The machine resembles a miserable duck according to the kids and is very easy to use, just fill the water tank, shove in a pod, select the size of your cup and press the button..simples.. I believe the tassimo is very similar, we went for the dolce gusto because it does hot chocolate and chilled drinks like peach or lemon tea which we quite fancied

Now I am all confused. I thought I had made my mind up, but now you saying yours does chilled drinks I like the sound of that.

Don't fret Blownupdolly, you can get special discs for making iced teas etc for the Tassimo, and it makes hot chocolate etc too. You can also buy a disc that turns it into an instant hot water dispenser. Have a browse here link

Now that's very interesting! I can't afford it this week, but I am sure there will be other refurbished ones around. I saw others just now on fleabay.
This one is looking like the favourite between both of us as his nibs wants the bean to cup ability.

Thanks to you guys, I have now become obsessed with trawling the internet for coffee machines, kettles, toasters and allsorts of other stuff. In my head I have spends thousands LOL,

I've been following this discussion with interest. Over the years I've had various drip filter machines and espresso machines. Right now I have a Senseo machine which is another pod gizmo and it makes a nice cup of coffee. But... I've come to the conclusion that the best cup of coffee (for my tastes) comes from a humble cafetiere with a nice choice of ground beans from the supermarket.

ok not coffee/bean maker ,but if your home alone and dont want to boil a kettle ,mate has one,surpringly it actually did have hot water not like another well known name brand that only makes it luke warm lol

I used to have the tefal one which was total crap. Threw it away after 6mths as it was just a dust collecter.
