I know the mini protank 1 was replaced by mini protank 2. The main difference been that number 2 comes to bits.
However I have noticed that the mini protank 2 comes in version 1 and version 2, what is the difference between those?

It looks like I have been confused though regarding versions. There is the - mini p 1 mini p 2 mini p2 version 2. So if the difference between 2 and 2v2 is a removable drip tip, what on earth is the difference between a mini p 1 and mini p 2?

I don't know if it's relevant, but a dedicated mini Protank user in the US discovered the mini Protank 2 v.1 was the most leaky. Personally, I don't see that being very scientific. I only use the very first version... and none of them have leaked. Never. I got lucky. (Unusual for me...)

Mine didn't either ( original mk 1 ) - until I dropped it on a tiled floor, then it leaked everywhere as it smashed to bits New one now, so hopefully this one will perform just as well.

I was gutted, I just stood there and looked at the mess, I didn't realise you could get so attached to a clearomiser.

I smashed my first v1 mini protank on the kitchen tiled floor days after getting it. I almost wept a little lol. Thankfully I'd already bought (2) spares as I'd fallen for the big style.
The very first version of the V2 mini had a tighter draw and replaceable glass tube but no removable drip tip (the V1 is an all in one unit like the first version of the Protank). It was quickly replaced by the V2 V2 mini which has a changeable drip tip. If you buy one new now it will be the updated V2 with a 510 drip tip

The V2 mini is still my favourite clearo. I didn't like the protank 2 at all I bought it and hated the draw and never use it. The Aspire BDC which got such rave reviews I hardly ever use it tends to burn stuff when you dial up past 9 watts (defeats the point of dual coil IMO) also it mutes flavour and the heads don't last long and are expensive to replace. V2 mini protank 2 I have three of them and love them all. Sounds like fan mail lol, I suppose in a way it is?

Well its all personal taste I guess - I like my Protank II but it does have a noticeably tighter draw than the minis. Surprised about your experience of the Aspire though - did you try priming the coil with a few drops of juice before popping it into the tank first. I adore my Aspire heads in a Davide and find they taste better than any single coil head I've tried - mind you I vape at 8.5-9w and that's perfect for me - who needs higher wattage when you get that level of flavour?

Just a note to say that I just got the EVOD 2 BDC, which you might like to consider if you are not tied to glass (or like me, are afraid of breaking it when out and about). It has the same top end as a mini protank with removable tip, plus evod tank, and the dual-coil version of the Kanger protank/evod head. I like my protank V1, but the vape with the evod 2 is much better.
To give you an idea - I use a lower strength juice at home with my kayfun than I do out & about with my mini protanks and old evods, because the kayfun vape is so much stronger. I'll now use the lower strength out & about as well in the evod 2.
