Hi all a few mixing newbie questions please bear with me, I am just in the thought process and considering the options ??? I am considering mixing my favourite juice grape from joosejuice... Do you find that mixing saves you money as his prices are reasonable to begin with? When you use a calculator to calculate your mixes, do you sit there and count the drops or how on earth would you measure out 2.67ml for example bearing in mind the markings on a syringe? Do you mix a small batch before a large one and what happends if you get the flavour wrong? TIA

aha! Jim from joosejuice is very obliging, if you email and ask what percentage mix he uses (for his concentrate) he'll let you know. So as long as you have in your nicotine base and pg/vg it should be more than straightforward to replicate at identical mix at a fraction of price

As far as mixing in the concentrate, its done in percentages. That part is simple using the onsite calculator.
For example, you want to make up 30ml, and you find out the concentrate needs 30%? you key it all in, with your nicotine base strength and the required end pg/vg ie 60/40 or 30/70 or 80/20 etc. The calculator will tell you what you need to know in ml amounts

Mixing a 10ml single flavour works out around 37p[ukv had this on there while back depending on concentrate juice strength and nic strength] Single flavours are easier.if mixing strong flavour use less you can add more to adjust------steeping times vary on flavours some few days other maybe 2/3 weeks You can either drop or syringe either way not exact as drops shown maybe be bigger depending on snout of bottle, few .2 of a ml is no big deal Grape concentrate is not a strong flavour so you will prob use more to taste it...with jj concentrate leave for few days to steep its mixed fresh
Golden rule less of strong smell concentrate always add more just note what more you added

Most of mine aren't really as accurate as that though, for your example I might make it 2.5. Usually I just go to the nearest 0.5ml

'drops' is an old fashioned way to make up your DIY juice, because all the different tips have different sized drops - doing by percentage is far easier ( if you can get the top off!! ) The on line calculator is far safer and working on percentage of size bottle mix you are wanting, it'll be OK! GIVE IT A GO

Lol thank you all again, I shall give it some thought over the weekend and probably email Jim as well, it makes sense to round up and a one ml syringe also makes sense! My goal is a 100ml bottle

I still don't know how people decided that 20 drops was 1ml or 30 or whatever number is in fashion just now. Syringes are cheap and much more accurate and easier than sitting counting 649 drops of VG into a bottle

100 ml makes it much easier then. What mix are you going for? What strength of nic base do you have?

Ohhhh, I don't have any base yet, I haven't a clue about that, can I buy a pre made unflavoured mix and go from there, or is that cheating?
I am still playing around with the premade ratios but more than likely a 70/30 pg/vg. The nic level I would want to change though and probably make that at say 14 percent approx

Currently at 12mg but not off the stinkies totally. 12 too low and 18 makes me dizzy

I'm really not sure there's much saving at all unless you usually buy the more expensive liquids. Joosejuce offer 12% discount and BOGOF on 30 ml bottles so it works out at £30 for 300ml delivered.
Making your own is a lot of fun though if you ignore the rancid recipes that seem like a great idea until you taste them
